I've heard several other numbers, which has led me to believe Professor Wright on his remark: "42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot. "
I don't know what the actual number is, but I'm sure it's affected by area.
Some spots are better studied or more reachable than others.

Very true, I believe that one day atleast 90% of the ocean will be explored and studied but advancement's in technology will be needed before this can happen.

i thought the pics showed the snout being shorter or longer than a manitee (or something like that}. but then again, i dont know anything about manitees. lol

I have a feeling this thread will soon die, I wish there was a way to spice it up a little but everyone is convinced it is a manatee.
