We are doing so great I think I'll die from natural causes before we hit 1,000 and it takes only 1,000x1,000 to complete the thread :D

270
litres is for some reason popular fish tank size.

271... the number of steps it takes me to walk two miles.

'A phantom,' said my Uncle Mycroft, who had just materialised, 'is essentially a heteromorphic wave pattern that gains solidity when the apparition converts thermal energy from the surroundings to visible light. It's a fascinating process and I'm amazed no one has thought of harnessing it - a holographic TV that could operate from the heat given off by an average-size guinea pig.' ~ First Among Sequels, Jasper Fforde

days ago a recipe for gilthead in salt was posted on a certain site that's of no use to you, because it's in Croatian and translators don't work that good yet.

(Clean the fish, dry it well. Put it on two fingers deep layer of sea salt and then cover with sea salt. Bake in the oven for 1 hour at approximately 200 Celsius. Crush the salt crust, sprinkle with chopped parsley and garlic, pour some olive oil on it.)

There’s gigantic discrepancy between the number and the post number now.

274, 275, 276 ...... each time I count the number of stitches on my knitting needles I get something different  ! (How's that? ;)  )

That’s ingenious but that's also how you cheat in let’s count to X threads

277
is how many stitches I’ll need when Bracket finds out I screwed his thread up.

If I recall correctly... the statistic or information accompanying the number doesn't necessarily have to be truthful. :P

278... this year (also CCLXXVIII in Roman numerals) began on a Tuesday on the Julian calendar. Not much of note seems to have happened that year.

280.... the approximate year Saint George, the patron saint of England, was born.
