QUOTE-

.

This particular specimen was targeted due to its

advancing years and because it initially appeared

to have just one antler.

.

and that's a good reason to kill it is it?

because it was different?

or was it euthanasia?

.

whatever happened to hunting for food....?

.

you should NEVER kill anything,, unless you're prepared to eat it.

What makes you think that particular roe wasn’t eaten?

Probably ended up in a stew, since it was an older animal. (I didn't read the article, maybe they'll stuff it, if it was that old and... unique.)

Hunters in this part of the world spend more time actually helping and protecting wild life than killing it.

I don’t hunt, but I appreciate an actual hunter more than moral verticals who never set foot in an actual forest. Actual hunters bring water for wild life in dry summers, food in snowy winters, they often risk their own health when rescuing wild animals from various wells (happens a lot in this karst terrain) etc. The only thing I hold against them is selling right to shoot an animal, but I understand they must finance their activities somehow.

WHY WAS IT KILLED??!!

What imbecile thought it was a good idea to hunt and kill the deer. And btw, it's not hunting, it's killing. If the "Hunter" used his own bare hands or perhaps a rock and stalked it and taken its life for sustenance use, then he gets a pass. But to use a rifle with a bullet traveling at 3,000mph and covered in camo and deer *snip* isn't hunting. It puts the animal at an extreme disadvantage, especially an older animal or a unique one like this. This really *snip* me off. The animal was fine, let it be for Christs sake!

WHY WAS IT KILLED??!!

BECAUSE IT WAS OLD.

The older you get, the less teeth you have.

Of course, if slowly starving sounds better than dropping dead suddenly is a matter of personal taste.

can't wait for you to hit carousel, "Helen".

.

quite simple Helen.

I read the article.

.

the animal in question wasn't killed-

it was culled.

.

there is a difference.

.

phonetically.

not so much.

.

philosophicurly?

more so.

.

Hunters in this part of the world spend more time actually helping and protecting wild life than killing it.

.

which part of the world would that be? hm? Helen?

.

I don’t hunt,

.

that much is obvious.

.

but I appreciate an actual hunter more than moral verticals who never set foot in an actual forest.

.

you have known neither.

i'm an Irishman brought up in Yorkshire.

i've spent a good amount of time hunting stuff- I had ferrets as pets, and have lost a kidney, a big bit of my pancreas, and some of my spleen to a hunting accident, involving a Webley .303 bolt action rifle, a dog named Sue, and a window you couldn't climb out of.

so. please. less of this 'never been in a fekk',n field before ****e eh?

.

Actual hunters bring water for wild life in dry summers, food in snowy winters, they often risk their own health when rescuing wild animals from various wells (happens a lot in this karst terrain) etc.

.

yeah.

like you see on tv.

.

The only thing I hold against them is selling right to shoot an animal, but I understand they must finance their activities somehow.

.

no s**t??

.

there's billions of Humans-

would I have to buy a ticket from you before I shot one?

.

******* seems that way.

You've messed up the quoting there. But I see it must be old hunting accident related

So...

can't wait for you to hit carousel, "Helen".

Aren’t you precious.

Philosophicurly, I like roes. I don’t like sanctimoniousness.

which part of the world would that be? hm? Helen?

.

Grab a map. Find Slovenia. There’s Croatia right next to it. That part.

that much is obvious.

you have known neither.

Tell me more about myself

I’m sorry about your instant karma. Really.

yeah.

like you see on tv.

Nope, that’s what I see in my forest. I hike whenever I can and we meet a lot of hunters and see a lot of their work, water and food they leave neatly. A cynic would say, so that wild life develops a habit of coming to these spots so they can off them, but I’m not that cynical today.

Careful, you could hurt your spleen again.

ok.

you're a green-eyed capricorn who works in marketing, wished you had more time off, and cry yourself to sleep every night 'cause Phil in Accounts fancies your mate Emma.

so don't take it out on me eh!

I’m sorry about your instant karma. Really.

Dont worry. I am sure some "sportsman" will crawl up a tree and shot the animal from 100 yards away and then go re-live his harrowing experience to his beer-drinking companions while listening to Chesney.
