The death of Morris K. Jessup was always suspicious.

"On the evening of April 20, 1959, Jessup was found moments from death, slumped over the wheel of his station wagon in a Dade County park near his Florida home. A hose attached to the car's exhaust pipe had filled the car's interior with carbon monoxide. No suicide note was ever found, and no autopsy was performed."

He had been a university professor at one time and also wrote four books on UFOs.  He had also gotten involved with the Philadelphia Experiment case, whatever that really was, and run into some strange characters.

There is no evidence for extraterrestrials monitoring the Earth for any large amounts of time.

The jury is still out as to whether aliens have visited the Earth.

The Egyptians, Peruvians and Mayans did it all by themselves, without alien assistance.  It's amazing what we can actually do.

No one thinks we are the only planet in the Universe that can and may contain intelligent life.  The multiverse (multi-universes), is however, a product of fiction made popular in comic books and science fiction novels.  Scientists do talk of other universes, but they are referring to them on a sub-atomic level.  There is no evidence that actual other universes capable of supporting life exist.

Modern humans are 200,000 years old with the precursors to humans stretching back millions of years.  No we didn't evolve from chimps but there was a common ancestor long long ago.

Logic and intelligence are not the same thing as you can have an intelligent person believe in something completely illogical.  Certain types of violence are emotion based and though could be considered illogical would still be evident in a species 1000 times more advanced than us.

Jessup's first book was a success but his subsequent books didn't sell well and his publisher rejected several other manuscripts.  His wife left him in 1958 and he was described afterwords by his friends as unstable.  He was involved in a serious car accident and was slow to recover.  For several months before his death he discussed committing suicide with some of his friends.   http://en.wikipedia....death  It's just because he wrote about and believed in UFO's that people consider his death mysterious not because it's all that mysterious that a depressed person took his own life.

As far as the Philadelphia experiment, it looks to be the product of an over active imagination of one Carl Meredith Allen who had a history of mental illness.  The supposed facts of the case don't match up with reality which further discredit the story.   http://en.wikipedia....phia_Experiment

I know that Carl Allen was generally dismissed as mentally unstable, but then again maybe what happened to him in the military made him that way.  Who knows?  Jessup was in contact with the Office of Naval Research and they were very interested in the things he was finding about about UFOs, not to mention their other MK Ultra-like experiments with hypnosis and truth serum.  Of course they were interested in UFOs because they were part of the classified investigation that was going on.

Jessup did come to believe that he was under surveillance and that the military was interfering with his publishers, and he was probably right.  That was also going on all the time back then during the Cold War.I think he just stumbled into some areas that were highly classified and got into trouble.

Many of his family and friends never accepted the official verdict of suicide, though, not least because there was no autopsy or indeed any real investigation of his death.

It appears to be more thorough information concerning Carl Allen then I have seen before.  It pretty much shows that the Philadelphia Experiment was something he concocted.  If it is as accurate as it seems thenthough Jessup may have been killed, it wouldn't have been over this supposed experiment.
