Raptor Witness Posted March 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) "Addressing over 16,000 assembled AIPAC delegates, Power, one of two senior representatives of the Obama administration sent to the conference, was warmly received amid tensions between Washington and Jerusalem over a pending conclusion in the nuclear talks.Referencing reports that the US has proposed to Iran a sunset on specific provisions of a comprehensive agreement, which would ultimately ease after a ten-year period, Power suggested such a deal would not compromise America's commitment to preventing Iran from ever acquiring nuclear weapons. "There will never be a sunset to America's commitment to Israel's security. Never," Power said. - Jerusalem Post - March 2, 2015------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She uses an interesting example here, to reference a commitment; as if she, speaking on behalf of "we," controlled the movement of the sun across the sky. Truth be told, Ms. Power, it's not Israel that has to be concerned about "the sun setting," but the United States. The sun cannot be controlled by U.S., and the arrogance to believe that it can be, is reason enough to invite the hand of the King to raise his to Heaven, grab a little fire, and then throw it to the earth. Raptor Witness Posted March 2, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) If Israel attacked Iran today, the U.S. would do nothing, even if Iran retaliated militarily. If Israel uses a nuclear weapon, the entire world will stand against them. Israel is hoping for a miracle, not U.S. It's based on the, "We want to see the Lord now," doctrine. They don't care about the United States doing anything. We are just a temporary sideshow. Edited March 2, 2015 by Raptor Witness
Mabon Posted March 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2015 Supposing it is a "we want the lord now" thing, wanting it doesn't make it so. If there is a God/dess it will do what it wills when it wills. Their childish attempts at gaining "God's" attention or forcing the divine to show itself will only be they are left with land that glows in the dark, disease, huge debt and misery for the survivors. But hey! to each their own. Mabon.
