The Pope question.

Belial

Recommended Posts

Having watched a very small portion of the Popes visit to America on the news i might add, i listened as he addressed congress i think it was and told the story of the young child who asked him what God did before he created earth?

I listened as this is a really good question especially from a child, the Popes reply...love.

I think it stumped him, as it would many if not all faith believers, unless you count having a sandwich or fixing the cupboard door before the wife has another go at him i mean.

Discuss.

I'd have said "he planned" and probably have thrown in a metaphor about carpentry.

Alternatively, "he was lonely".

He could have also said "I don't know", which I still think, even if I were religious AND Catholic, would have been a perfectly acceptable answer. Unless you claim to know the exact mind of god, I don't see how admitting you don't know something, even as the Pope, is wrong. I'm an atheist and this is the best Pope I've seen so far, in my 42 years on Earth, and though I don't put any stock in any divine authority or stuff related to him, if he's going to be the spirital leader of Catholics - compared to what has been and could be, I fully support him.

In the history of the Catholic cult, this Pope is by far the best I've seen too. I too agree with you Paranormalcy, "I don't know" is the best answer here. It would have been the most truthful. For all we know, perhaps God did need building permits before creation or at the very least a land space grant.

"The Catholic Cult." I like it. Sounds like the name of a Slayer cover band.

While the President was seen on T.V smiling with the Pope ,little did anyone know he had just released Osama bin laden's body guard . The man he released , who guarded Osama looks absolutely insane / evil.

Just because he's the best they've had does not mean he's good.

No, he is now the puppeteer... but there are many people who see the strings and are not influenced by their cult.
