Vision of the Burning Bush/ Wasteland

I recently started seeing someone who is very open-minded to magic/ Gnosticism, whereas I have always been interested, I'd go as far as to even say facisinated, but skeptical.

Some info before diving in: I've been dealing with insomnia (unofficially diagnosed, but what else should I call laying awake at night completely exhausted but eyes wide open unable to fall asleep?), eventually getting to the point where my heartbeat would keep me awake, and I could feel it pounding all day. No caffiene, plenty of water, forcing myself to eat, I was still just feeling like a zombie for a few weeks before this.

After spending the night with them, on the mornining of my birthday I woke and moved to the end of the bed to avoid waking them up. I was running on only a handful of hours of sleep, perhaps three or four if that, but I had to pee. As I got to the end of the bed, I was met with a vivid landscape of a vast desert with cracks in the dirt, underneith a beautiful clear sky. A few feet in front of me, where a wall should have been, I saw a small shrub on fire. I was tired, so I wrote it off as me still being partially asleep. I stood, and turned left to go to the bathroom. I made it a few feet before blacking out, waking up to find myself comfortably wedged between my partner's alter, which had been partially distroyed in breaking my fall, and a pile of books, narrowly missing an unsheathed sword. It's a miracle I was unharmed in any way, and I awoke feeling almost... euphoric.

The rest of the day was spent renourishing my body and relaxing, as I was having trouble even standing, my legs would violently shake and my head would spin, similar to when you stand up too fast. The vision was clear as day and still lingers in my mind.

I have little to no expectations of what comes from this thread, I just want some outside perspectives. What could it mean? I don't consider myself a gullible person, and as much as I'd love to believe in the things my parter believes, I am still skeptical even after the vision. I've never experiences anything like this in my life, and having admittidly been a pretty vocal anti-modern Christian, I find myself more lost than I was to begin with.

Did God show themself to me? Or am I just highly suseptible to outside energy?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I think you should go see a doctor asp and have him check you for a possible stroke or something like. A vision and passing out can be caused by an organic problem in the brain. Your leg issues and dizziness along with it is a sign you might want to go the ER, IMO.

This was a few weeks ago and I haven't experienced anything since. But thank you, I have considered it being a tumor or something and should probably at least go get a checkup sometime, it's been awhile.

But just to note, the shaky legs weren't like seizures or anything, more like when you're weak with hunger, and I was only out for a few seconds.

It sounds to me like you entered a shamanistic state, which they did through sleep deprivation and strict diet control.

Lack of sleep does weird things to the body. The least of which is hallucinations.

Doctor. Now.

Of all of the other prophets the world over, did you ever hear of one other than Moses having a Burning Bush vision? God doesn't repeat Himself. Get to a primary care physician and get an MRI set up.

Even if you haven't had an episode recently, it doesn't mean there isn't a problem. What you've described are the high signs of a goddam brain tumor, that's deep and nasty, and potentially associated with the base of your brain. Seriously, let your "vision" be the miracle that prompts you to get checked out, not you collapsing in public and soiling yourself.

I can only give you my personal opinion which should be taken at face value, it's up to you to actually derive the meaning of your vision.

1st the hallucination is a natural phenomenon with people who can't sleep for extended periods of time, the further you go without sleep the more susceptible you become to hallucinations and visions. This happens because your mind needs time to process the events of a given day. Subconsciously, you do this by dreaming. Your mind categorizes the events and slots them into the correct places within your memory, essentially separating what it wants to retain from what is inconsequential. You don't get to make those choices, your subconscious does that for you.

Now what happens when this function is disturbed by lack of sleep over a long period of time? You start confusing events, people occurrences, even your vision becomes affected because the subconscious mind is trying to do its job when you are still awake, a job that it should be doing when you are asleep.

You conscious mind is interfering with its natural function, until you are in essence in a waking dream.

Now you probably know this yourself, but I wanted to add it in so that you can take it into account if you haven't already.

What is interesting about the dream or vision/Hallucination (they are essentially the same, context being the defining point on one or the other) is that you were presented with a classical biblical setting that your subconscious mind surely knew about. It is a famous one after all. It is a context where God is presenting himself to Moses, on their very 1st meeting and clearly identifying himself in the process.

Maybe that is what God is doing with you at that moment, presenting himself. I am betting that you've slept like a baby since.

The 1st meeting is always magical and even awe inspiring, mixed with frightening.

The two parts of my post are not actually in opposition, but are actually symbiotic in a way. You needed to get a point physically where God could get through to your awareness, and he has no problems in using your subconscious mind to achieve that aim.

Like I said, take this as you will.

Yes. Please have a good check Up. To me exhaustion and a certain type of sleep state make the most logical sense for your 'vision" I would be concerned at the source of your insomnia. I heard the other day that primitive people have no word for or concert of insomnia it doesn't mean they all sleep perfectly, but that they don't consider it abnormal to have some sleepless nights. However, it does mean they have a lot less conscious concerns which impact on sleep patterns and far less ongoing insomnia than civilized humans..

The nature of, reason for, and purpose of, the PARTICULAR vision you had is a different matter.

It symbolises something significant which your subconscious is aware of. Try to extract the knowledge form your subconscious through conscious challenging of your subconscious and logical consideration of the elements of the vision and how they might relate to events in your life. What was the significance of the original burning bush? Could your subconscious be identifying some similar aspect, concern, crossroads, decision required, in your life?

At its simplest, a burning bush is a marker of significance, a metaphorical signal fire or beacon on the mental landscape, drawing attention to something your mind has subconsciously identified as crucial.

I might go back again to what is causing ongoing insomnia and exhaustion in your life.;

Ps in dream symbology the rest of your dream is interesting. A "bleak?lifeless waterless desert but a clear blue sky Both negative and positive symbols. The tone of your post suggests a number of conflicts and concerns in your life which might also have positive and negative aspects, such as a new positive relationship, but one with some challenges to your established beliefs and concepts. Your inner mind will be working to find a satisfactory resolution to, or at least an accommodation of, these conflicts.

If i had this vision, this would be my analysis of what it meant for me Some unknown and posibly hostile territory ahead with an uncertain timeframe/distance to be travelled Hope and positivity represented by the clear blue sky.

(if you can remember your feelings within the dream this will help you interpret the symbology) The bush a strong mental symbol to make me aware consciously of the challenges i face, and that this is a significant, marked, turning point in my life if i allow it to be.
