Wow now u can hear people rummmaging in the attics etc

A pensioner who bought 20 plastic Star Wars figures for 49p each has sold her collection for £10,100.

The woman, who is in her 80s, bought the figures for her grandson when she worked in a toy shop in 1977.

The force.

I am actually a collector and have those in original packaging....it is weird they were sold for that much, as they aint exactly rarest figures.Mind you, it only lists what a few were.

Well...*Looks at his in the bedroom*.....

Looks like that trip to America may be closer than expected.

i found a set of original star wars figures in an original carrying case at the thrift store for 20 bucks. i scooped it up immediately, went on Ebay and found that each of the figures in there are selling for 30+ bucks EACH. wow. instead of selling it, ive started my own collection.

Bugger. I had the lot back in the seventies. I sold them all to one of my school friends in about 1985 for five pounds the lot. And then, and this is the bit that really galls, the same bloke beat me senseless at a party about 5 years later because I was 'trying it on' with his girlfriend.(*)

(*)I wasn't trying it on. I'd really had dropped my Saint Christopher down her tank top.

laugh.gif Yeah right Aslan..!

Bizarro, I don't collect them as much as I used to now, abit low in the cash department!

When i can find any for cheap though I get em.

I was at a toy fair thing and there was a rare figure on sale, and cause he saw I was such a nice kid, I was around 14, he sold it to me for quite abit cheaper! I even got to be friends with one other seller and he gave me some free stuff for my birthday! laugh.gif

Talking of Star Wars stuff, I have several model kits that were never built. They are all in their original boxes, with all parts and instruction manuals. Does anyone know if these have any value ? The kits that I have are listed below:-

STAR WARS Millenium Falcon (huge kit with fibre optic lighting in original STAR WARS box).

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Star Destroyer.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AT-AT (I have 2 of these).

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Snowspeeder

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Slave I (Boba Fett's ship).

RETURN OF THE JEDI Imperial Shuttle Tydirium.

RETURN OF THE JEDI Space Vehicles Model Set (Snap together X-Wing, A-Wing, B-Wing and TIE Interceptor model kits; these can be sold separately, since they each have an instruction manual).

Chris Low.

They could have value if they are from the 1977 line, and when the movies originally came out.

I would look it to it for you but I am in a rush. You could type them in on google, or ebay and take a peek.

They made a Boba Fett with a rocket laucher that fired a little plastic missile. It was decided it was to dangerous to kids and the next year they made more that didn't launch the missle. The first group are very rare, and I had one, but I broke it's head off when I was five.
