There is a frequent claim made by Right Wing thinkers that any form of social democratic model cannot function as well as a free market neoliberal model. That is blatantly a false assumption when you look at countries like Germany, New Zealand, Norway and Finland.
I think that was the point been made here.

Cool..
I like it when New Zealand comes out on top in a good way..
But I tend to think we're pretty corrupt as well.. the SFO (Serious fraud Office) has been busy of late..
We have a fair share of top-end business corruption, but little if any outside of the boardrooms..

There are things done as a matter of custom in VN that would land you in jail in the US. The business of giving fairly large sums of money once a year in neat red little "lucky money" envelopes to all the government officials you deal with is one, including the garbage collector. Another is where you haggle with the police officer who stops you for a traffic offense over the amount of the fine.
