tyrant lizard Posted January 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2013 What the hell is that? I thought it might be a sunken parachute or something to start with - having watched it all I'm clueless. Which is quite common

Simbi Laveau Posted January 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2013 This is the gulf of Mexico I believe ? I think it was IDed as a weird jelly fish of some kind, but it actually doesn't look familiar to me.I saw the jellyfish vid,and I don't think that's it. It reminds me of The Blob
Mnemonix Posted January 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2013 Strange indeed, whatever it is. If it's a real sea creature, imagine what else is out there.
libstaK Posted January 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2013 It's beautiful whatever it is, it reminds me of the sting-ray because of it's tail (if that was it's tail) but it would more aptly be a "jelly-ray".

CloudSix Posted January 2, 2013 #12 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I agree, it's sort of mesmerizing and gross at the same time I thought it was a piece of trash, a plastic bag initially, but when that "white stuff" erected from it around 4:25, i was amazed )
