Verizon Testing Weapons on us Late Nite?

Recommended Posts

At 04:01 AM 04/09/2014 - on the Starz channel, Verizon, NE Philadelphia

showed a strange kind of test pattern up on the screen. At first

a texted message came on the screen stating something about a

audio inner-ear, or an audionic brain interference signal test

would be performed.

I know it sounds wierd, but I swear that's what I remember reading

on the screen, and as I was actually reading it, I couldnt believe

what I was seeing.

The pattern started, and at the same time these, I think, 5 boxes

appeared on the screen, one in each corner, and one in the middle.

Each one had a kind of image in the background or an animation, random,

of some kind, almost cartoon like, then on top of each image within each box

was a radar-like line turning, and in each box was spinning oposite of the other one.

The audio signal was annoying, I started getting dizzy and a head wobbleling feeling,

then after 30 seconds it just stopped.

Then it said test 2 ready, with a countdown of about 20 seconds. It gave what sound

frequency it was going to play, I think it was around a few hundred Hz, and when it

started, I started kind of freaking out because it was hurting so I changed the channel.

I'm an electronics tech/engineer, know how to build and repair several electronics

including television and radio, even worked for a cable box refurbishing company before

but never have seen test patterns like this.

If anyone else out there happened to see what I am talking about, I would like to know

if I am describing it well what I saw or was it my imagination.

No, I wasnt high or on 'shrooms.

wierd.

Sounds like they may have inadvertantly broadcast an "in house" test/maintenance pattern...

Well, if I was in charge of "mind weapon" test, I sure as hell wouldn't put it in plain text like you describe. I'd either take it as a waking dream, or a very elaborate prank (wouldn't be the first time such a thing happened).

Seems to me in this age of Smarter-than-you phones, one would have the presence of mind to take a photo of something like that. Taun's response seems plausible. As DecoNoir pointed out, if it were something sinister, I doubt they'd spell it out for you in black and white.

Are you sure this was not a dream as a result, perhaps, of too much rich food and fine wine?

I;m a night owl, wide awake. Didnt have enough time to think of snapping a photo while trying to realize what I was reading was actually there. I started thinking someone there in programming made a boo boo, then again, I could be nuts. ... more likely. lol......I know what I saw.

That sounds really weird. We have Verizon and live in PA. I'll ask my father if he saw anything weird come up on the tv. Idk technology these days always does unexplainable things. I'm thinking maybe a test of some sort for their network maybe?

I have to agree with DecNoir...I wouldn't tell you I was going to test something on you.

In the age of advanced technology, it's hard t say what kind of effects that can be generated with sound and visuals...I have heard stories of sound weapons that can scramble your brain and make you p!ss your pants...thankfully I have never experienced these things so it is only a story.

"Starz Affiliates – Starz Entertainment, LLC will be conducting scheduled monthly maintenance on our channels Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 4:00am ET and 4:00am PT. Color bars will be present during each scheduled event, but occasionally video will go to black due to testing. The maintenance window will last approximately 45-50 minutes. For questions, please contact Starz Affiliate Support at AffiliateSupport@starz.com or (888) 783-2275."

Seriously, that took about 2 minutes to find on Google. Why do people jump to ridiculous conclusions instead of doing a bit of research?

Edit: it happens every month if you ever fancy watching it again :P
