Is this pink pigeon a punk, or just pretending to be a flamingo?

They may be seen as pests by some, but this bizarre-looking pigeon has been earning admirers since it was first spotted in Ealing, west London.

The brightly-coloured bird, seemingly a white pigeon with large blotches of luminous pink on its feathers, has nevertheless left experts mystified.

Strange...i know flamingos are pink due to eating food high in carotenoids but a pigeon shouldn't eat that kind of diet..some clown has got to have dyed it..

Wow...I actually do not think It's dyed, mainly because of the different hues,in the different layers of feathers...?
It could have ingested something.
Flamingos eat things in the water ,that contain astaxanthins. That's what makes them pink .
Pigeons eat a completely different kind of diet ....
Even his little claws are pink . Dye won't do that .

Makes you wonder if somebody wasn't screwing around with cross breeding, or changing that particular breed's genetic makeup in a trial and error process through scientific means. Experimentation just for kicks, maybe?
