Josh. Posted June 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) "Paranormal Activity Virtual Reality Game Coming in 2016" "Paramount Pictures’ horror film franchise Paranormal Activity is spawning a new virtual reality video game. VRWERX, a division of Beast Media Group dedicated to virtual reality content, is announcing a Paranormal Activity VR video game to be released in 2016 for all major head-mounted displays including HTC Vive, Sony’s Project Morpheus, Oculus Rift; PC; mobile; and consoles, including Xbox One and PlayStation 4." “Virtual reality provides exciting new ways for audiences to interact with our film franchises,” said LeeAnne Stables, President of Consumer Products for Paramount Pictures. “’Paranormal Activity’ is an ideal fit and we look forward to further terrifying our fans through these new technologies and platforms.” So what do you think? Will it be a hit or a miss? Definitely seems an interesting idea for a game... I imagine it'll have it's fair share of scares in there! _Only Posted June 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Hard to say with a technology I've never seen used since Virtual Boy, and a company I've never heard of. But there is a big part of me that knows something like this can be done very well, as a few game experiences have alluded to: There is a high possibility for a clunky experience for the 'user', though this is 2015, and technology and its inovation has grown up quite a bit since this: Edited June 17, 2015 by _Only
Kaikou Posted June 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I've had my Rift for a few months and it's really easy to integrate with software programs such as Unity. So we will be seeing a lot more horror based games within the next couple of years!
