The charmed life of Adolf Hitler

William B Stoecker: In one of his quatrains, Nostradamus predicted the rise of a terrible European tyrant and conqueror called “Hister.” Naturally, many have assumed that this referred to Adolf Hitler, but skeptics have correctly pointed out that “Hister” is merely an old name for the Danube River. But a river cannot be a conqueror; Nostradamus must have been referring to a real person…perhaps one connected in some way to the river. Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria, on the Inn River…a tributary of the Danube. Most of his childhood was spent in Linz, Austria, which is directly on the Danube. For a time he also lived in Lambach, Austria, on the Traun River, another Danube tributary. He was a Catholic altar boy, and in Lambach he attended a Catholic school in an old cloister whose walls were adorned with swastikas. His political career first began in Munich, Germany, on the Isar River, also a Danube tributary. So Hitler was intimately connected to the river whose modern name so closely resembles his own. In another eerie “coincidence,” Munich is also the city where Adam Weishaupt founded the Illuminati in the late eighteenth century.

Speculative piece of writing with not a shred of evidence that Hitler dabbled in the occult. Further undermined by the inclusion of Nostradamus. Poor show.

Maybe he was just good at anticipating his attackers, like in the way he went against his schedule and left places early. Other times he was simply lucky. Where's all the info about the occult?

How many known tyrants or dictators died by violence? Not that many compared to the total. They seem to escape the punishment they mete out to others. Evil can win in subtle ways.

There are plenty of evidences that Hitler "dabbled" in the occult. Of course you won't find them in history books. I recall a history class on WW2, the subject came up, the professor, a PhD mention the fact that any "orthodox" study would loose all subventions in the event the occult was even mentioned.

May I remind you also, Goering was part of the Thule society via his Swedish wife, Karl Haushoffer (Rudolf Hess teacher) who help Hitler with the redaction of "Mein Kampf" was a high ranking member of several secrets societies in Europe and in Japan.

I know what you are going to say: Circumstantial evidences. But at a point the accumulation of circumstantial evidences becomes a proof.

To finish, it has been proven than while in Vienna, the young Adolf was a member of Guido von List group the Guido von List Gesellshaft.

During WWII the Nazis were all over north Africa digging up relics and searching for oracles of "power". The movie Raiders of the lost Ark is based on that fact. Any amount of research into the subject reveals Hitler was very much into the Occult. Remember, occult simply means secret, and Hitler was very much in to keeping secrets. The swastika was a Hindu symbol of power and was used on everything Nazi. Perhaps the evidence is there for those who look for it, but it is easier not to look and then say it is circumstantial. Good article Bill, next time maybe you should show your source materials.

If you're making a claim you should back it up with verifiable evidence. Indiana Jones movies ain't evidence, and neither are the writings of Nostradamus. To write a speculative piece and then tell the readers to look for the proof themselves because, "it's out there if you look for it", is not good writing.

BTW....

the occult: the study of magic or mysterious powers (Cambridge Dictionary)

the swastika was not a hindu symbol. i believe it was actually of celtic or germanic origin. hitler's own superstitions seemed to save him time and time again, but were eventually his undoing. however, it has been said that russian soldiers invading berlin on that fateful day in '45 saw a small single engine prop plane take off and depart at low altitude from the city....

The swastika (from Sanskrit svástika स्वस्तिक) is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing () form or its mirrored left-facing () form. Archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period.

It occurs mainly in the modern day culture of India, sometimes as a geometrical motif and sometimes as a religious symbol. It remains widely used in Eastern religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

This article was a waste of someone's time writing it. Certainly wasted mine reading it... <_<

Some powerful stuff in regards to Hitler, being a genial personality to lead through a diabolical ability to hypnotize people to follow him, and was mentally instable enough for his own 1000-year reich to collapse within 12 years.

Whoever wrote this about it was conservatives and Christians whom opposed him more than liberals and socialists, is right out of Conservapedia, the staunchly conservative online encyclopedia founded by former wikipedians in protest of what they fell was one-sided leftist propaganda.

The Conserva-wikis went far enough to write an article about http://www.conservapedia.com/Evolutionary_racism "Evolutionary Racism" and how Hitler with the Nazis were deeply immersed in the ideology, and one of the main reasons Hitler dispised Jews and opposed Roman Catholicism as Jewish for "racial" reasons.

I was randomly surfing the net, and came across hitlers Project Werewolf in the late 1930s early 40s. I found it very interesting, does anyone have anything to say or add about project werewolf specifically. I also can't seem to find really any good pictures on it, and wondering if anyones found a good book or source to it.

Seriously if you have any pictures or any other data I may have not come across e-mail me. The subject of the Project Werewolf (third reich) has captured my attention emensely for some reason. I wish to divulge further information into this vague tatic that seemed to be disparged after a few years, specifically with one man in particular who was an SS leader among hitler and was part top man in this project started with an S, and ended with a ski i believe..strocyski..i cant remember it exactly but he had a unique scar that was like a long u shape from across his ear to his lip on the left hand side of his face, can't mistake him.

lol

I don't think him evil. (He wasn't one of those cardboard soldiers who ran death camps)

He was a hero. A professional soldier who fought well and fought hard for his country. Seems to have had an exciting life.
