Video captures possible chupacabra

Legend says that chupacabras are doglike animals with long snouts that suck the blood of goats and other livestock.

Sightings of these evil-looking creatures have been reported from Latin America to the southern U.S.

While some say the chupacabra is nothing but a legend, a family has video they say might suggest otherwise.

Margaux Huckabay says her brother spotted the legendary chupacabra. Her brother quickly grabbed his phone and started recording the animal.

"I actually Google Image'd 'chupacabra' and it looks just like the other images, so it's kinda freaky."

I'm wondering if anyone who sees something like knows what a mange'y canine looks like? But I gotta know, would a mange'y coyote be around the video/sighting area?

since when did legend state that chupacabras are doglike animals with long snouts?

i was always under the impression that the original chupacabra from the early/mid ninties sightings was more reptilian in nature with big red eyes, spikes down its back and was bipedal... in short looked more like this... post-129343-0-96373700-1372004825_thumb. far from what could considered to be a doglike creature

this video is nothing more than a severly malnurished coyote that could possibly have mange... the video is far to shaky and out of focus to determine. When people record something that looks similar to what the origial chupacabra of legend is said to look like come back and then spout off how a chupacabra has been caught, until then leave the videos of malnurished mangy canids where they belong... on the cutting room floor.

There's no evidence to suggest that these 'coyotes with mange'-like animals are responsible for sucking the blood from chickens and goats. There's plenty of evidence to suggest that it's the lizard-bird-like animals which do. Yet more poor reporting of the facts I'm affraid.

Googled this, the rest just say the sightings are possibly starving coyote!

It is supposedly a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail.

So by looks of it, this could be anything from a starving coyote to a neglected dog, hence the possible collar.

I actually Google d images of coyotes with mange and came up hundreds of images that look like a chupacabra. Freaky isn't it?

Do chupa's run out of food? Aren't they like mini-monsters of some sort?

I have to agree, what I used to hear about reports from Puerto Rico back in the early 90's was like the picture you posted: iguana-like with a crest, red eyes, definitely reptilian. In addition, it would mesmerize poor souls with the eyes like Mothman, in some reports, it could fly or jump really high and the tongue was reported as chameleon-like and able to shoot out.

I'm not sure why Chupacabras is now reported as a deranged canine. I've been in and all around San Antonio and seeing deer and coyotes are very common. In fact, you really can't ignore those deer crossing signs because the dumb things stand in the middle of the road just like that canine running in the middle of the road.
