Still Waters Posted July 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2011 In 1903, 3,000 teddy bears were sent by ship from Germany to America only for them to disappear. Some claim the bears were the first ever made and would now be the most valuable in the world. Trog Posted July 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2011 http://singularityhub.com/2011/04/05/10000-shipping-containers-lost-at-sea-each-year-heres-a-look-at-one-2/ Even to-day shipping is losing on average 27 shipping containers overboard every day , apparently they fall into the ocean and sink , may be the ropes holding them down aren't strong enough . So what chance would a wooden box full of Teddy Bears have of surviving 108 years ago ? .... But of course we don't have the evidence that the ship on which the Teddies were passengers on did in fact sink , may be they got right across the ocean safely and when they were unloaded into a warehouse in America they may have seen a chance of escape and made a dash for freedom , and settled down in New York.... Where they lived happily ever after ?

Where they lived happily ever after ? Could they be the genesis of the Eastern Big Foot? Teddy's gone wild?
