My ceiling becomes written tablet of symbols

Okay, this has happened 3 times already and I am lost for an answer. Seems like something or someone is trying to communicate something to me by causing my ceiling and walls at night to become a tablet with written forms, symbols and glyphs not moving but staying in a stationary position for up to 15 minutes before fading. Could it be my rods and cones grasping for light at night? Only a solo green LED is nearby for the smoke detector but this writing becomes well lit up and is very real appearing and lingers for me to 'read' and then fades.

Does anyone out there ever have this happen to them?

It is hard to describe but the symbols are dark brown or black on a tan background and there are patterns which don't replicate but you cannot see any repeating symbols they just seem to go on forever untill they are outside of my viewing space (ceiling and walls~). The writing is flat and does not follow the contours of the room. It is there for me to view and I have no idea what it means or what to do with this information. Help?

I have looked up all kinds of writing and never saw anything like it. It has flat edges and is not feathered. There are geometric shapes and no circles or curved edges. Thought of camera without flash. Sits by bed now. Hard to even begin to draw them. All three events were in last 2 years with last one happening last week. Same writing, seems made to be read left to right in lines with spacing between lines...

Ack. Write it down, or draw it down. Photograph it. It might matter or not if it is actually appearing on your ceiling or not... Geez, note it down and share what this is.

As an reassurance... My hubby who is a computer geek/programmer/software writer sees stuff sometimes too in "passages" while in bed.. Says it's like the matrix swirling around. I tell him to note it, write it down, remember it... might be the next big thing. He's super computer geek language guy, I think he sees it all the time, and writes code in his sleep.

Could be what people used to call a prophetic vision. Sometimes people will get a vision, but not know what it means till later.

Or it could be your sub-conscious trying to tell you something.

Try capturing it on video or with a simple photograph.

I experience this effect quite often.

We have those old 60's popcorn ceilings and the play of light and shadows will often create a series of clearly decipherable glyphs and symbols if I relax and stare at it with soft focus for a few seconds.

Appreciate the responses! And quiXilver, Am happy to see I am not the only one.

I see sandy grains (no popcorn on ceiling, just flat white paint) and then the sand gets darker and then I see small worms forming and crawling around, and then suddenly images quite large start appearing, they are brown or black ~ glyphs and symbols~ all in rows... and then the background gets brighter and these images are now getting darker against the tan background and each image (there are a thousand of them in rows and lines each one can be observed individually or collectively as if I am trying to 'read' it but it makes no sense because it is not my native langauge) is unique and clear, had shape and doesn't overlap onto next image... stange because it gets real clear to see it all, then it all starts to fade, and fade, and away it goes... back to dark ceiling with solitaire green light on...

I must admit I enjoy trying to decifer what this is tryiing to tell me because it feels like I am being shown something for a reason.

Even though I have no clue what this is, I look to the ceiling when I waken after my first REM sleep session. I get fully awake, both eyes open and see if anything forms up there...
