How fun! Lots of thoughts come to mind.
Yes, Jesus had a companion. Yes, it was Mary. No rabbi from the David line could go childless. I mean, really. It was a birthright obligation to have children if you decended from David, and also from Herod (Mom Mary).

But Jesus was a rebel.  He refused to conform, no?  He was different; special.
