Ok so here goes. My friend and I had the same dream around the same time about my step daughter being pregnant and trying to hide it. Neither of us told the dream to each other til recently. Come to find out we had the same dream with minor differences. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and what it could all mean. I just can't bring myself to believe that it happened and that it was the same dream. Now its bugging me like no other. Any ideas?
Is she pregnant??? If so, I'd be inclined to believe maybe there's something special going on there (i.e. someone from the other side is telling you what's going on for a reason), but if not, heck, who knows.
I didn't have the same dream as another person like you did, but I did have a dream a week before my niece was born where she appeared to be between around 8-12 years old and she told me a story in the dream about people who seem like geniuses or prodigies are actually reincarnates who learned those skills in a previous life and your subconscious remembers what your mind does not and so you quickly re-learn them. But you appear to others to be a genius or child prodigy.
I thought this was a VERY strange dream and my brother told me that while they did not ask whether they had a boy or girl during his wife's sonogram, they were told at some point it was likely a boy due to the weight estimate being so high (around 8 pounds supposedly as she was getting near to delivery time). I thought the dream was strange enough that I told my brother about it (he's very right-leaning religious and doesn't believe in reincarnation so I was a bit leery of mentioning that part of it at first), but I did tell him I dreamed they were having a girl and, of course, they did (weight was water or something; she only weighed around 3.5 pounds at birth). She's now around 14 and as far as I can recall, she looked exactly like I dreamed at around age 8-10. She has no memory of the encounter, though.
You can write the gender thing off as 50/50, of course and I cannot prove she looked as I dreamed or the bit about reincarnation (I do happen to have my own memories that seem to be from the Middle Ages I can't explain; they're just "there" like any other memory, not like a dream where I always remember waking up and not having all my senses right, etc. The memories are mostly disjointed bits, but one part is very lucent and I know enough detail to look up what I remembered in the history books since a person I remembered talking to was royalty and I remembered her name and it was enough to find out whom I supposedly was and at least the major events I remembered apparently really did happen so that's either one heck of a coincidence or maybe she's right. I do know this person was highly educated for their time and they knew English very well, etc. I also know I learned extremely quickly and could read at the high school level by 2nd grade and was writing 10+ page stories by 3rd grade and I never had to study in school, etc. until I got to a subject that didn't exist back then (e.g. electronics) so it at least SEEMS consistent with what she said in the dream.
I also had a dream a couple of months after my step-dad died (he looked young again in the dream, not as he was when he died) where he indicated (without speaking; I just somehow "knew" when he looked at me) my grandmother wasn't going to wake up from anesthetic (she was in the hospital at the time and they were keeping her under it for a week for observation as she was having a problem with her throat and they didn't want her in pain, etc. while they had the breathing tube in, etc. I also dreamed the next day my mother would get a call about her death on the phone. She died a week later to the day and never woke up from the anesthetic. She was visiting there at the time, but the doctor said everything was going fine and so she and some other family members went to lunch (except for my mother's brother) and she got the call from him on her cell phone at the restaurant that she just passed away. It's not exactly a repeatable thing to prove, but that's one heck of a weird coincidence if it's not real. We thought she was doing fine at the time (originally my uncle said she just swallowed food down the wrong pipe but kept coughing so they took her in to be examined) and so I had no reason to have such a dream.
Other times I think dreams are just dreams, but it does seem like sometimes God or others are able to communicate through them. It's hard to know which are which, though. Those dreams got my attention, but they still felt like dreams...just strange ones. I've had some others ones that seem like they're trying to tell me something through symbology (detailed elsewhere on these forums), but they could just be weird dreams. I normally cannot remember dreams from start to finish, though and so when I do I tend to notice. Those dreams are usually the ones that seem like someone is trying to tell me something indirectly.
So getting back to your experience, I'd want to find out if she was pregnant because that's not something you're likely to dream about for no apparent reason, let alone share a dream about with someone else.
