Not a natural phenomenon. Some of the sunflowers were bent 90 degrees opposite from the others. Almost like the people missed a few and got lazy.

It looks like they were creating a map level for a mid 90's first person shooter, like DooM or Duke Nukem 3D.

But in an act of clever consumerism.... please note that the Sunflowers were at the point where cutting them down would not lead to any loss for the farmer, because the seeds were ripe for processing :innocent::whistle:

anybody for a bit of extra income then?

Well one thing is for sure, there is no way that humans could have possibly done that. Especially not bored/drunk youths.

Totally bogus.... You can easily see that as much as 75% of the plants have been pulled up. Those that are laying down are only a tiny fraction of what should be laying down. Unless ET took 75% of what they knocked down and carried them off, this is a fraud. And not even a good one.

If ET was behind crop circles (giggle snort), looks like they would have better technology than to make the plants look like they'd been physically stomped on.
