The Islamic leaders like CAIR are pushing for exactly that in the UN NOW. You can edify me but I have never heard of a Christian version of such things in the modern world.

Africa huh? I'd really like to see spirituality help with that AIDS epidemic.

African Men have Virgin girls to cure HIV, and Witches are being killed there too.

There will always be people who don't believe.

As long as they don't try to tell me what to do, I don't care how religious somebody is.

That could be so if the growth in christianity can overcome the invasion of your god brothers in arms, muslims. We are at the end of a human evolutionary era, the ideological era. Even though it looks like religion is growing, it's actually destroying itself with over population, environmental destruction and never ending pollution. No way this planet can support 8+billion people in harmony, when so many believe in such violent orientated fantasy. So the end is near for ideological humanity, as reality rolls over it and returns it to the primitive past where it belongs. The next human era will be passive reality based, on a sustainable technological environmentally sound society, or extinction.

I think the spread of secular humanism in the West anyway has stirred up the religious adherents, and this is the cause of the resurgence of religious fundamentalism we see today. In the short term I think humanism will prevail, but in the long term it's anybody's guess.

The future ecological disaster that seems to loom before us may quicken the outcome. I think the result will be pockets of both outlooks throughout the world, although personal freedom everywhere will be limited by whatever governments evolve to face this problem.

Not only that, but I have a firm and non romantic understanding of evolution. In 300 years most of us will be Mormon in the west. And in many other places as well. Not that I agree, I'm an individualist, but they have the necessary ingredients to propel forward.

This is meme theory: ideologies have built within themselves aspects that protect them and that help them spread. Thus truth is defeated.

Exactly, ‘pseudo-perfectionists” require being the center of attention.

So as you represent in your post that you are definitely one that has no doubt in the existence of God, you too realize the necessity for the faithful to be perfect before the LORD. None of the pseudo-perfection, and no sense in being perfect in part since it is written in 1 Cor 13:10; "But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." Likewise, as written in Luke 6:40, "The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master."

What can I say, excellent post. However, for those who might lean unto their own understanding as too what is meant by "be perfect before the LORD", it is written within the text itself, it will require a little study yet in reflection I began by judging myself. And John 3:20-21, we can 't change what we have done, but we can change what we do.

As far as myself, the teaching in the NT to be perfect was regarding the instruction given in Deuteronomy 18:10-13. Now if the Spirit leads you in a different direction, then without doubt follow in that direction yet that which I received was the warning not to be found as one that engages in any other the following things found in the 10th & 11th verse:

maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire,

or that useth divination,

or an observer of times,

or an enchanter,

or a witch,

or a charmer,

or a consulter with familiar spirits,

or a wizard,

or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

Which I summarize as neither make nor love a lie.

In my opinion, that is merely a form of divination.

Yet I recall being lead by the Spirit to a particular scripture one night, the day was August 22, 2011 and the scripture Numbers 16:30.

Although it will probably not make sense to you, while your opinion is based upon your imagination that God is a blood thirsty killer,

I speak which of I saw and heard, that they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

Isa 59:1-4

59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

You keep track to the exact date of when moved by the Spirit?

Why that's not creepy, or disturbing at all.

I have been moved just now to some Holy verses.

1 Samuel 15:2-3

2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass, and puppies and kittens.

2 Chronicles 21:14-19

14 Behold, with a great plague will the Lord smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods, and puppies and kittens.

15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.

16 Moreover the Lord stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians:

17 And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.

18 And after all this the Lord smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.

19 And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.

That particular time I do, it was the night before the 23rd.

Of course you might not be familiar the events of the 23rd it since your head was probably focused in the topic of 2 Chronicles 21:14-19.

Yet, just shortly prior to that date the good folks at the UN secured the release of three inmates, one on death row and the other two serving life sentences in an American prison in exchange for their signed confessions of guilt. The three inmates were convicted the brutal deaths of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. But what can you say, they tested a piece of hair found on the shoe of one of the boys that didn't match any of the convicted individuals so that proved they didn't do it.

But on the 23rd, the DA of NY dismissed the grand jury indictment of the UN official on the sexual assault charges of a female hotel worker thus violating her Constitutional right to the redress of her grievance based solely on his 'feelings'. Was the UN official guilty of the offense, I do not know but I do know that the police investigated her complaint and turned it over to the DA's office where the evidence was presented it to a lawfully empaneled Grand Jury who issued the indictment and the DA as if his decision, dropped the indictment. Think it was by Papal order?

So yeah, I do remember that date and scripture and what was going. Appreciate the reference to my character as disturbed and creepy, yet I prayed for mercy.

This raises new concerns, but I wish you well in your fight against Satanic forces.

So you'd replace one mythology with another and assume the outcome will be any different?

Even if this happened, what makes you think people won't condemn others for not "believing" in magic?

You'd still have groups looking down on others because they feel that their way is the only way and anyone who feels differently is just wrong by default.

Satanic forces. Maybe someone can clue me in. I've played with and studied meditation and self-hypnosis, I've been to meetings of all sorts of cult groups, I've played with Oija boards and fortune-telling devices, and of course I've explored the dreaming process in a lot of detail and gotten to the point that I have a lot of control over my dreams, as well as my sensations (such as the ability to cause myself to "hear" voices telling me what I want them to tell me). I've even tried fortune telling techniques and mind over matter experiments, although with no successes.

In all this I've never had a hint of contact with anything I could possibly describe as evil or that suggested anything bad. Why not?
