  • What is the more fun, inviting a wolf to dinner or having a tiger by it's tail ?

Yes, you are totally right about that Hawkin' ...since modern technology is reverse engineered from items gleaned by the military from 'exterrestrial finds' (and it still is) then rightfully, IF they want to stay here for awhile and interact with us, they must have the rights of their own intellectual property to create their own corportations and to sit at the top of that. IF exterrestrials want to interact with us they are going to need a lot of money, which at this time isn't so. Even having their own small technical devices that exterrestrials might use to contact one another would be of unimaginable value here on Earth, and that would be like walking down muggers alley with a million dollars in their pocket. Enough said.

Alright D., sorry about the bad spelling of extraterrestrials... I must have been distracted by something or forgot.

So what I mean is that technology is what the military and corporate business wants to obtain from extraterrestrials. This is worth millions and millions of dollars of pure profit, unimaginable wealth. Rightfully the extraterrestrials themselves IF they choose to interact with us are going to need some Earth money; which at this time it is rather a moot point that they don't have any of that. What is it that Earth people have that is worth the trading with them (other than slave girls) for some of that technology that is so priceless [to us] ? Presumably, people might even consider poaching UFOs, and shooting them down with a homemade cannon to scavenge their space technology for some very lucrative ill-gotten gains. The rights on intellectual property would belong to the extraterrestrials themselves, as CEO  or those who are in control of a corporation in this sense, that develops and markets their technology. Maybe extraterrestrials could be invited into the corporate world to establish their trade contracts.  Or they could remain mysteriously circumspect of us like we have no real sense of what that should be or become... like we're not ready yet 'to talk turkey' with them about business deals and contracts.  At this time nothing definate and worthwhile is on the table and of course they would know that.

The military has been cautious about any threats to national security, and the possiblities of obtaining extraterrestrial or space alien technology, only for it's own use. The extraterrestrials aren't going to turn for that war talk, and the military has been concerned that if extraterrestrials were allowed to interact with the public-at-large, then somebody else might get that coveted weapons technology first; and that's unthinkable. It's not like nobody would want to steal that if it was possible in these times. Of course I am spinning a lot of ideas, that is just to get the wheels turning.
