OK, so as 'evidence' you cite your own imagination.

Call me when you have something worth discussing.

Why don't you call me sometime?  LOL

Where did you get that from? Any further information?

It came from someone called "Admin" on the Space Time Forum.  I know I've seen other pictures like it, though.

Interesting to see how one can drop a boulder into the pond of space-UFO UFOria and it doesn't even leave a ripple.

Immunity to reality seems to dominent cultural trait hereabouts.

This 1970 NASA-sponsored report discussed unidentifiable 'stuff' seen outside the windows of Apollo spacecraft, and what they might mean.

It seemed to me it might be relevant to the discussion, to discuss it.

Silly me.

Why do you suppose those promoting the 'unexplainableness' of such videos hide the contempory NASA studies of them from their target audience? My theory: engineered ignorance facilitates the duping.

Yes, I know this one wasn't a UFO but an appendage of the spacecraft.

Thanks for bringing this one up, and responding positively to my request.

This 'thingie' was first seen widely imn a 1979 compiltion of 'UFO-related' videos assembled by imaging technician Don Pickard at the johnson Space Center. This scene, he called a view of the crescent Earth. When I prepared a review of that film, I did not check Pickard's explanation [I was younger and more foolish in those days], but later, Jack Kasher [STS-48 fame] checked the alignments and geometry and offered an argument it could NOT have been Earth. Skeptical, I looked over Kasdher's argument, and saw that it was sound. I accepted it.

For awhile I wondered if it could be a window reflection of an interior light, and I interviewed all three of the crew. None had any insights into what it could have been, since none recalled seeing any strange objects out the windows. My intuition was that it had a prosaic explanation but I could not find it.

Then somebody else, completely independently, found it -- the boom-mounted light for an impending spacewalk. They even got higher-quality imagery which, when enhanced, showed the entire structure including the boom.

My intuition had been spot on [there WAS an explanation], but I had failed to find the actual explanation.

Another defeat for the adherents of 'mystery lights MUST be true UFOs" school.

I do note that the one post of mine you have ever agreed with was one where I indicated awareness that not every UFO report is a real UFO.  I generally don't post anything about those since they just aren't very interesting.

There are others that I'm not sure about either way, like this blue "mystery light" from Apollo 14.  Luna Incognita others say that it was not identified.

"Here you can find a series of Apollo 14 Images AS14-66-9290HR, AS14-66-9299HR, AS14-66-9297HR, AS14-66-9296HR, AS14-66-9295HR and AS14-66-9301HR which you can find on NASA website hq.nasa.gov. In this site you can find Apollo 14 Image Library contains all of the pictures taken on the lunar  surface by the astronauts together with pictures from pre-flight training and  pictures of equipment and the flight hardware.

What is I want to highlight in these images is the Blue lights that appeared in different frames at different position in the sky. You can find analyse the peculiar features in these frames by downloading the HQ pictures from the links given below.

In the frame AS14-66-9290HR you can see a bright flame of light glowing on the right upper edge of the photograph. If we enlarge the image we can see two distinct source of light glowing brightly.  If we would have seen such thing on earth then we could have explained such thing as meteor burning in the atmospehere. Then what could be the source of such lights on moon where there is no atmosphere at all ?

We can also see in frame AS14-66-9295HR where flame of light glowing brightly and can see many small lights within also. Is it a light source itself or a object hanging in the space getting solar reflection from its shiny surface?"

I do not recall Dr. Mitchell ever saying anything about the Apollo 14 Blue Lights. Were they even noticed at the time these pictures were taken?  This is what I mean when I keep saying that UFO pictures are often taken when the photographer is completely focused on something else, then a UFO shows up in the pictures.  It has happened my times.

This one from Apollo 16 calls them "uncropped photo lights", but like the Apollo 14 lights they appear to be distant objects.

Blue UFO anomalies imaged on the Moon during Apollo 16 of
Astronaut John Young. AS16-113-18339 120:25:42 (OF300)

John Young jumps off the ground and salutes for this superb tourist picture. He is off the ground about 1.45 seconds which, in the lunar gravity field, means that he launched himself at a velocity of about 1.17 m/s and reached a maximum height of 0.42 m. Although the suit and backpack weigh as much as he does, his total weight is only about 65 pounds (30 kg) and, to get this height, he only had to bend his knees slightly and then push up with his legs. In the background, we can see the UV astronomy camera, the flag, the LM, the Rover with the TV camera watching John, and Stone Mountain. Journal Contributor Joe Cannaday notes that high-point of John’s first jump was at a time close to 120:25:49 and the second was almost exactly three seconds later. Some uncropped photos show lights at the top. http://history.nasa.gov

That Apollo 16 picture is yet another example of what I was talking about.  Obviously that photographer is focused on the astronaut and the lunar lander and did not intend to take a "UFO picture", but then those blue lights appeared in it--whatever they really are.
