The Republicans just sent their counter to Obama on what to do about the fiscal cliff, with 800 Billion in new taxes. So, then what additional cuts will Obama put forward? 3, 5, or 7 Billions worth? .... If Republicans are lucky!!

Yes I see. Protecting the plutocracy wealthy 1 percenters with no income tax raises. I see indeed. But then Obama offered 600B in cuts and Republicans only 300B. Repubs are not serious at all. They just play at governing.

Basically neither side wants to back down and they are playing a game of "Chicken". And very likely we'll run right off the "Cliff".

Not sure how you get 60 billion of increased Rich taxes over ten years to "largely" reach 1.6 trillion. That adds up to 600 billion to me.

And what is that last part of the quote?? Savings on the Deficit by.... "A new burst of economic stimpulus spending"? I might be wrong, but doesn't stimulus spending actually increase the Deficit?

And I don't see anything on that Obama side that can be considered "cuts", only tax increases. Who is balanced now?

But neither has Obama and the Dems. Their wording actually is even more nebulous then the Republicans.

Just watch... the solution is going to be to authorize the FED to intervene holding the rest of the world markets hostage to America's grasp on the Petrol Dollar..... it's now a complete game of poker.... who will last or wait around?.. no single region is strong enough nor dumb enough to take on the USA's grip as the worlds reserve currency..... not with America being the sole driver of consumerism....  a deal is going to be brokered soon after the FED royally screws FREE America once and for all... this is going to drive me maddd and every other individual who loves freedom to the point of no return..
