Anomalocaris Posted October 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) Creepy software puts your expression onto another person's face to make them smile or frown Making a friend smile has never been so easy, or creepy. New software can copy your expression and paste it onto another person's face - on a computer screen at least. This results in a creepy effect where the virtual recipient of an expression is forced to laugh or look scared, for example. ression-person-s-face-make-smile-frown.html'>http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3276006/Creepy-software-puts-expression-person-s-face-make-smile-frown.html Edited October 16, 2015 by Anomalocaris

LV-426 Posted October 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I guess there are some uses, such as the one mentioned in the video for synching a translater. If it looks authentic enough, I guess it could also be seriously open to abuse
Galactic Goatman Posted November 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2015 But... why? My thought exactly, what a waste of programming. "Hey Mike? What should our next project be?" "Well, i have two ideas, make a complex algorithm, or make a program to stick your expressions on someone's face." "Let's go with the faces, no one needs algorithms when they can make other people do goofy faces."
