Still Waters Posted April 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2015 These images aren't the work of a photographer - they're paintings. The man behind the intricate masterpieces is 33-year-old Patrick Kramer from Springville, Utah. The hyperrealist artist says each artwork takes anywhere from 50 to 300 hours to finish. https://uk.news.yaho...78.html#abFKFkI
George Ford Posted April 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2015 That is crazy awesome! I'm actually 50/50 on whether it is actually real or not! It could just be a photo that someone says is a painting.

She-ra Posted April 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2015 His work is amazing. You can see on some that these are indeed paintings. Beautiful work. Thanks Still Waters. This is lovely
karmakazi Posted April 11, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2015 At first I had trouble believing what I was seeing, but I found higher definition images of his work and I can see some evidence of brushwork. I have seen some other artist with hyperreal art, but it was mostly colored pencil...I've never been patient enough to do things like that, it takes a lot of time to really study the light, shadow and shape of a subject/photo to recreate it so precisely.
freetoroam Posted April 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Certainly a lot of talent, a lot of patience and a lot of precision, very awesome and much respect to him and others who can achieve this...me, I will stick with a camera.

KariW Posted April 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2015 I have seen his work before, and I am always amazed at the level of detail. I really liked the pic of the two goldfishes, and wish I had a print of it to hang in our living room!
