Republican Senate?

DieChecker

Recommended Posts

It seems that as it gets closer, and closer to the Nov Elections, that the odds are that the Republicans are going to gain enough seats to control the Senate.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/09/29/the-odds-of-republicans-winning-the-senate-are-growing/

All three major election forecasting models saw an uptick in the likelihood of Republicans winning the six seats they need to retake the Senate majority over the past week, movement largely due to the party's strengthened chances in Alaska, Colorado and Iowa.

it could happen, life is stranger than fiction.

however I see politics as some kind of sport, 2 teams fight each other, but no matter the result, nothing will change for ordinary folks, may be those that bet\invested money in it will either lose or win, but for hundreds of millions things will still be the same, can't remember when it mattered before.

Left wing, right wing.. both belong to the same bird.

If it slides to one way or another (right or left)...."we the people" well see little difference as far as our freedoms and finances go. Only the banksters and the elite will benefit.

I choose to live my life as a free human being until they lock me in chains and I can no longer do so....

With a Democrat president he will veto anything.

Jeremiah65,

Your post pretty much sums up how I feel about about the United States government.

Welcome to the "Freeland"! where the sheeple seriously think they are in control.

Sheeple: People unable to think for themselves. Followers. Lemmings. Those with no cognitive abilities of their own.

People ask why I'm so happy in the mornings - well, it's because that I know we're one day closer to the disenfranchised in each party and those not beholden to parties realizing that there are enough of us out there to band together and fix this ****.

I wish I shared your morning enthusiasm. I agree there is an opportunity here but we have no one rising to the occasion it seems...they are all affiliated and...to me...that is bad. If they are affiliated, they are on a leash and are not going to be allowed much "running room" to get things changed.

This can be fixed but we all have to remember it starts at the local level...the the county, then the state. Once the states have "diversity" in the electoral college...the maybe some real change can come.

I would run for a local office even though the mere mention of it freaked my wife completely out..."Your history is terrible, there is no way you could get elected"...which...meh...is pretty true. But someone, somewhere has to start. The difference in me and them is I have never - ever hidden who I am and what I believe in. I think some folks out there would nod their heads and say "that guy ain't no worse than me"...

It's too late to register this year, but don't think for a minute I am not considering it for next time. There is an old saying...when you want something done right, you should do it yourself. Me complaining about the "left-right" paradigm is not fixing it...only when I get out thee and try to do something about it will it matter.

I hope this message strikes a nerve with a few others. Forget about the dirt in your past....everyone has dirt n their past...even these elitists we have offered to us this November are not wrapped in sheets of pure white...they got some dirt in their past and skeletons in their closets too. The thing is...they want the average Joe to think there is no way anyone would vote for him so why even bother trying.

in your rose colored glasses.

 Face it, you got your dream team in there to do what you progressives have been dreaming about doing for years, they did it and it was/is an unmitigated disaster. Your political philosophy is garbage, it doesn't work in the real world and we will be paying for your delusions for years. A grown man would learn from this but a man-child won't because he is incapable of admitting an error. i think we all know which one you are turtle but I'll keep it to myself as I don't need two weeks away for picking on the likes of you.

I think we will see some major revisions in obamacare, most all of the new elected congresspeople ran on abolishing it. The mandate will probably go. everything hinges on the scotus decision for now. The pressure will be on for the Keystone Pipeline to move ahead, even incumbent Dems are suddenly getting on board. :w00t:

Barry will veto and then we'll need 2/3rds of both houses to override his sorry ass. I bet the lower house has the votes to override now but not so sure about the senate, that may take until we seat the new crew in January. How fun will it be to see Barry's face after that first override? I hope they paper his office with legislation.

Yeah, I doubt we'll see anything this year.

Obama promised change, and it only took 6 years for it to swing all the way back around to "Scrrew Change!!".
