Still Waters Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 A man in France has married his father's former wife, after a court battle that lasted for months. The wedding of Eric Holder, 45, and his former stepmother Elisabeth Lorentz, 48, took place in the north-eastern village of Dabo, near the city of Metz. The ex-husband of the bride, Mr Holder's father, was also reportedly among dozens of guests at the ceremony. French law bans all unions between stepchildren and stepparents. But a court ruled in the couple's favour. http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-29494641

Q-C Posted October 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2014 They are both older, I wonder what the story is. She couldn't have raised him so a possible short-lived marriage with his father? One where the son never even lived in the same house with her? I see nothing wrong with it as the father didn't either, it seems. I don't know why but I'd think French law more relaxed. If the son dated her while she was married to the father then that's more acceptable in France?

Border Collie Posted October 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2014 Kind of weird, particularly as the old man went to the wedding! But if they are all happy, why not.
itsnotoutthere Posted October 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Be kind of weird if during the passion of love making she shouts out his dads name. (or after, turning to him and saying "you're much better than your dad") Edited October 5, 2014 by itsnotoutthere
