The Hanging Gardens. Because they remind me of 'Pornography'.

I would vote the pyramids. I plan to go see them some day.

I think that all of the seven wonders would be incredible to see...It is wonderful to think of what the human race can achieve when it works towards a common goal...

There is not any one wonder that I would like to go and see, I would want to go and see them all.

The Temple of Zeus where the doors opened themselves when worshippers heatedthe fire, the Hanging Gardens where Archemedies had the screw's. (and not that type either, some people.)

All of them had things to make them impressive.

Definitely the lighthouse @ Alexandria, because after viewing the lighthouse, I'd have wanted to go see the libraries there as well.

I got stuck on the pyramids and hanging gardens . On one hand we have something that must have been a marvelous site to see , and very pretty . On the other hand we have in incredible work of goeometry ( especially for the time period it was built in )

I decided to go with the hanging gardens since it was a structure that a buetifull garden on it , and the great pyramids are structures with ... well... a dead old pharoah in them . tongue.gif

Inquiry here. Does anyone have a link to where there are high-res pictures of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World where these pictures depict these wonders in brilliant succession?

For me the Great Pyramids & the Hanging Garden would be my favorite.

The Pyramids for its monstrous structure & architectural design, using crude tools etc...

And the Hanging Garden becoz of the Beautiful Plants that surrounded the place.

I read somewhere that the pyramids were painted or had a different color rock lining the outside. That travellers could see them in a distance and read words off of them. I'll bet they were pretty beautiful back in the day, not all brown like we see today, but brilliant.

Quite true. They had a white limestone outer lining that reflected the Sun God Ra's brilliance for miles around. Over the years, that limestone was stolen.

Don't forget that they were also supposedly topped of by a golden capstone. Whoever stole that...well I hope it squished him on the way down!
