Chicks with buzz cuts

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of getting a buzz cut for the New Year. At the moment I've got a blonde Mohawk with lightly shaven sides. I'm not a lesbian or doing it for attention, long hair doesn't suit me and I want something that's easy to maintain. Also it'll grow back. :tsu:

Would like to hear you're opinions about this topic, but NO NASTY COMMENTS please. :td:

Many thanks. :tu:

Some women suit short hair more than others, and I find both long and short hair on women attractive. I would suggest, however, if you can find a hairdresser that can give you an idea of how you would look with a buzz-cut before deciding.

But really, it's a personal decision about how you appear to yourself. I am of the opinion that being happy with yourself is most important. It doesn't really matter what other's think, but if you are happy with yourself (your appearance) then others probably will be also - because it will show through in your attitude.

Try one of those websites where you can upload a photo of yourself and see what different styles would look like on you.

I dunno.. Sure you want to shave your head in the middle of winter? You might be surprised at just how much heat your hair keeps on your head.

Other than that, if you feel you can pull off a buzz cut, go for it. If you aren't sure if you can pull it off, or your hair grows slow you might want to try a different super short cut. A hair stylist can probably help you decide with that.

And a piece of advice- if you decide to go for a full blown guys buzz cut, go to a barber to get it done instead of a hair stylist.

seems to me that it is your head and you certainly should do what you feel is correct ,however I was thinking if my baby had bristles on her skull in those intimate moments I might feel a little like ..who dat dere

It is unnatural for men to find short hair, especially buzz cut hair, attractive on a woman.

Sure, some will, but it's in our DNA to find long, silky and lustrous hair attractive. It's a sign of health and the ability to successfully bear disease free children.

But surely some will think it's cool.

Try on a few wigs and see how you feel about it. Also look into possibly donating your hair to cancer patients.

Sometimes when I have a really bad hair day, I feel like cutting it all off too. I just put it up in a rubber band and forget about it.

If you want a buzz cut, then go for it! If it will make you feel great because it's giving you a natural personality of your own then go for it! A lot of men do prefer long hair on women but hey, whatever us girls do should be done because it makes us feel great and not because of what men want a woman to look like. So as long as you're doing it for yourself, opinions don't matter much! :tu:

You'd be doing it for the right reason (solely yourself) so go for it. :)

I'm female and I actually have a soft spot for women with buzz cuts and those who have short hair.

Amber Rose and Charlize Theron!!! So gorgeous imo.

it's just hair and if you want to experiment you're not really going to stand out in today's society anyway so go for it!

I have very long straight hair and have for many years but since my boyfriend saw me in a short pink wig last Halloween that's all he talks about!

While I agree with the supportive comments others have made, may I humbly suggest you keep in mind that not everyone will be as supportive. In most cases it won't matter, but in some cases these people may have some power over you.

For example, it would be a shame if you were to miss out on a job you were well qualified for because the interviewer didn't like women with buzz cuts. (Stuff like this shouldn't happen, but unfortunately it still does.)

I agree.

It's the same for buzz cuts, tattoos, or piercings.

It's your body, and you have the right to express yourself, but not everyone will approve.

Easy compromise.

shave the sides, front.

let the back grow long.

everyone wins when a mullet gets invovled

Of course you have to take into consideration how such a haircut/style might affect your job, but other than that, I don't think anyone's opinion but your own matters. I honestly fail to fathom why some people care so much about another person's image; how someone is appearance-wise should not phase others at all, never mind in a negative way. No harm or offense is being caused and those who think otherwise are just simple-minded. Providing an individual does not have anything like Alopecia hair will grow back, so if you do ever tire of a certain look that's fine, but it really wouldn't be that a big of a deal.
