Still Waters Posted November 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Two Canadian dogs have survived a harrowing run-in with a porcupine, but the encounter has left their owner with hefty medical bills. Mahalo, a pit bull, was playing with his brother and another dog on his owner's farm in Craven, Saskatchewan, when the dogs ran afoul of a porcupine. Mahalo had to be rushed to a veterinarian after the porcupine's quills pierced his heart and lungs. http://www.bbc.co.uk...canada-34716175
Bendy Demon Posted November 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Poor puppies. That had to hurt so much, wish I could cuddle them until they recover.

Still Waters Posted November 3, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted November 3, 2015 A friend of mine found a stray dog hanging around his property, only to discover the dog had porcupine's quills in its face. So he took the dog in, gave it a home and paid for the vet to remove the quills. It was a big dog and he already had one of his own, so then he searched for someone who could give the dog a good home, someone with plenty of space for it to run around in. He found a couple with a big ranch who were looking for a guard dog for their livestock, he drove the dog there for them to meet him and they were very happy. So in the end it all worked out perfectly for everyone, including the dog

I swear, I think sometimes I'm a canine pied piper She's a sweet dog named Daisy. She's about 11 months and seems to be a Cocker Poodle mix.
Lucas Cooper Merrin Posted November 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Personally i dont have a problem with any breed of dog, its the way they are brought up and trained thats the key, but I'm pretty sure pitbulls are illegal in Canada. Hope the authorities dont pick up on this story.
