Oook.

(read Terry Pratchett if you don't get it :) )

'Good' is not the same as 'nice'.
'No, murder is running your broadsword through someone because he worships a different God to you... Or is that evangelism? I get confused.'
When they discover the centre of the universe, a lot of people are going to be disappointed - They are not it.
I don't object to the concept of a deity but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance.

Can't they just use a stick, forcibly open his mouth then feed it like a baby?

Wow! how cheap keeping that pet but since he is a scavenger I think what he is looking for is a rotten meat not fresh.

if this is a deep water creature ( http://www.seasky.or...ant-isopod.html ) perhaps the pressure difference between the tank and where it is suppose to live is effecting it.  I don't see a zoo being able to create the pressure needed in a zoo environment.

I went to the Toledo Zoo last year. And I'm 90% sure that they had pressurized tanks in the aquarium for deep sea animals. So they can create the pressure needed.

it was just a thought, but it seems to me that if they are rubbing it's nose in what they think it eats then there can't be full time pressure for 100m ( 300+  feet ) it would live in  but i am not up on the tech needed to create this pressure and so am just gussing.

Obviously they aren't capable of getting his environment right, so release him before he starves to death. A good question would be, has he EVER eaten much since they initially captured him? If no, then the solution is obvious.

Yeah they don't have the tank it's in under pressure. I was just saying that they do have the tech to do it.
