An out of body experience or something else?

I was travelling on the bus earlier on and I was just thinking of things mainly about the sports I do at the moment and sports I want to do in the future and should I give up the gym or not and then all of a sudden I was stood next to my nan and my little sister's grave, I started to apologise for not going to see them in a while and I said I would visit more often, then I felt a hand on my left shoulder and I looked up and it's my nan stood there, she started speaking to me telling me that I need to get away from the house that I'm living in at the moment as soon as possible because of the bad spirit who is trying to get to me, she told me that he had already been in my room 3 times in the past year since I moved to this house, the first time was when I heard heavy boot steps circling around in my room and the 2 times was the dog barking at him to stay out of the room even though there wasn't anything there, she also told me the 2 children ghosts in the house are keeping me safe but the bad spirit is taking over my step-dad and gaining in strength and it's only a metter of time before he is strong enough to get past the dog and the 2 child spirits to hurt me, she also told me about my little sister visiting me and it was her who was messing about with her teddy that I have kept in my room even though I never mentioned that the teddy was getting played with, all of a sudden my nan said that she has to go soon because she can't show herself to people for long but before she went she told my sister it was ok to show herself to me and she sais that I was her big sister and I said yes I was and your my little sister, who is probably the only person in the family to stay smaller than me and we both laughed and I said that I loved them both individually and they told me they loved me and I was back on the bus.

Any help in figuring out what happened, was it an out of body experience and that I did actually see my nan and my little sister in the graveyard because why say that she had to go because she wasn't allowed to show herself to people for to long? and why the graveyard why not in my house? I know this wasn't a dream because when I came to I was still staring out of the window where as normally when I fall asleep on the bus I wake up and my head is ususally either facing up towards the roof or looking towards the floor and my mouth is wide open but today it was closed and I was staring out of the window, anyone got any advice would be great, thank you.

Hypnagogia is a wakeful hallucination and are more common that you realize. I don't think this falls under the out-of-body experience.

Monkey and She-Ra have nailed it. It's something else, and that something else is Hypnagogia. Unless you can provide some kind of evidence to the contrary, of course. Which would be amazing, I may add!

What do you mean Podo? about evidence but I looked at the wikipedia page and it doesn't sound like that because I was wide awake all the time on the bus ride.

What do I mean about evidence? I mean proof that what happened was somehow an out of body experience.

As for Hypnagogia, it is likely Hypnagogia because you probably just started to fall asleep, had a very vidid dream, then snapped awake. Buses tend to put me to sleep if they're long, and I've woken up numerous times without even realizing I'd begun to fall asleep. You probably just began to sleep and snapped awake so abruptly that you didn't realize it. It is certainly a more plausible explanation than an out of body experience. Unless, as I said, you have some kind of evidence to prove that this is not the case.

I would agree it's probably a case of hypnagogia. There are many instances when you wake up from sleep and you never knew you had fallen asleep in the first place.. the whole process of sleep is intriguing, so much so there are sleep institutes and studies conducted to better understand the process.

Podo, thank you for explaining I'm a little bit brain damaged so don't understand things that well anymore,

I have fallen asleep many many times on buses far to many times to count but this time it just felt so different, I just can't explain it but I didn't feel the same as when I fall asleep on buses and believe me I've fallen asleep standing up before now, I can literally fall asleep anymore, I've nearly fallen asleep on a really fast rollercoaster but that's due to fatigue due to my brain damage,

In the past when I have fallen asleep on the buses and not quite fallen asleep I tend to jerk my head backwards but this time I didn't I sort of like came back to but your all probably right and I'm just putting to much thought in to this.
