Marriages are happier when wives are thinner than their husbands, according to a new study. Researchers at the University of Tennessee studied the BMI (body mass index, a common measure of obesity) of nearly 170 newlywed couples, along with their marital satisfaction over time.

Obesity is one thing, not to judge a spouse by his/her size. Here's a saying I would recommend people to think about:

"Who says you're "fat"? I didn't. Was it your doctor? or Cosmo magazine?" My point is to ignore front covers of magazines who don't know who they are talking about. A true love committed in a relationship moving onto marriage doesn't judge them for size.

I think that is ridiculous. Her heart is what counts. However, I guess if you lived in a cold climate a bigger woman would be better in the winter--sorry, sometimes I can be an ass, LOL.

Well the researchers weren't saying "fat" girls were less happy. But that when the husbands were larger. Both could be clinically obese, but as long as the man was more obese then it'd be ok .

Makes sense to me. Didn't need a study to tell me I was probably going to be more attracted to women who are in better shape than I am.

Exactly. Maybe those huys (myself included) find them physicaly attractive, but wouldn't want to have to put up with them for the rest of thier lives?
