Ghostdancer Posted March 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2009 Many years ago I read a book called Isle Of The Snakes written by an author named Robert Fish. It is a fiction set in Brazil featuring two policemen, one Brazilian and the other an American and part of the setting is an island off the coast crawling with deadly snakes just everywhere. What I did not know is that there really is such an island off the coast of Brazil known as Ilha de Queimada Grande that is inhabited by the highly venomous Golden Lance Snake and so heavily populated with these snakes that visitors are forbidden to this island. Don't think I would need such legitimate persuasion!
