Zoso Posted November 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2005 (edited) I caught the damn flu from some girl that sat next to me in on of my classes. My throat hurts like fire and I got a little bit of a fever. I can't freakin stand it... Edited November 11, 2005 by Zoso

XNavyGunner Posted November 12, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2005 I just got over it 2 weeks ago myself and I sympathize. What I like is hot tea with lemon, honey, and a shot of whiskey.
Yelekiah Posted November 12, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Orange juice (when my throat is raw from being sick) irritates me. Maybe that's just me. *Don't drink milk, it will make it worse. *Take multi-vitamins *SLEEP (very important) *Take lots of liquids to stay hydrated. *Alkaseltzers work. *Hmmmm....pain killers? tcgram Posted November 12, 2005 #17 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Sorry to hear that you're sick. I don't know if you drink herbal tea, but peppermint tea always helps my sore throat; drink it as hot as you can. Make sure you get a lot of rest, you need it to fight off the bug. A couple of hot toddies couldn't hurt, either! LOL
darkknight Posted November 12, 2005 #18 Share Posted November 12, 2005 2 teaspoon of honey with few drops of lime in lukewarm water should do it for throat... that is if you arent well yet....
Falco Rex Posted November 12, 2005 #19 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Is it the Avian Flu? If it is, could you do me a favor and spread to everyone? I'm pretty well prepared for an apocalypse, and I'd like the practice.. If it's a regular flu; I'm sorry you're sick.. What always helps me is telling myself I'm not sick and going about my business like normal.. I know that sounds weird, but it seems to work.. Must be a mental placebo or something..
