Lilly Posted February 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) ISIS is on the move and now in Libya http://www.cnn.com/2...ngs-christians/ So, how or should the world respond to the spread of ISIS into Africa? The move takes ISIS to a whole new level IMO. Edited February 16, 2015 by Lilly addition

Mikolaj Posted February 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2015 I have no words for ISIS anymore. I become muted after they announce their pamphlet where they justify child and women rapes. I read (as I remember) that for women child from 0-9 years old who is Christhian or Yazidi you have to pay 250$. (?)
Space Commander Travis Posted February 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2015 is anyone really surprised by this? They're one of the few groups that weren't in Libya taking advantage of the Freedom that had been imposed on the Libyans by Cameron and Sarkozy (with some , fairly reluctant this time, help from the Big O) ridding them of a Foul Tyrant. Sir Smoke aLot Posted February 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2015 It is as if the road for isis advancement was made with 'Arabian Spring', i have to say congrats too all those who are responsible for 'helping' Lybian people get that freedom which they just didn't have before, oh that monstruous Gadaffi. Lybians are crying for his leadership today and will do same in decades of war which is ahead of them.
Lilly Posted February 17, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted February 17, 2015 ISIS openly states they are setting their sites on Rome. http://time.com/3711022/isis-libya-copts/#3711022/isis-libya-copts/ Instead, the five-minute film is concerned with more international themes. The targets are not modern states, but rather “Rome” and Christians, who are labeled “the people of the cross, the followers of the hostile Egyptian Church.” The message was phrased in religious terms intended to transcend national boundaries. The video ends with the Mediterranean waves dyed red from the blood of the murdered men. ISIS is telling us exactly what they intend to do...and yet no one seems to be concerned?
+Noteverythingisaconspiracy Posted February 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2015 I think that it is a bit weird that they are targeting Rome, by attacking a religious group that doesn't have anything to do with Rome. The coptic church is entirely unaffiliated with catholisicm. But I guess it just shows how little these people really know about religion.
Lilly Posted February 17, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted February 17, 2015 I don't think ISIS cares who's affiliated with who (from a religious perspective) when it comes to 'infidels'. ISIS simply desires to attack Christians (and everyone else too).
seeder Posted February 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2015 ISIS has momentum to keep expanding, General Garner warnsMilitary experts, including Garner, agree that this situation is a cause for alarm ISIS is thought to have a four-point strategy. “Expel Americans from Iraq, we did that for them, we left Iraq … second, establish an emirate then expand that to caliphate, third is to attack surrounding countries and pull them into the caliphate, and their fourth priority they have is to eliminate, destroy Israel.” Garner believes the terror group so far reached or nearly achieved these priorities to a degree. To reverse some of these outcomes, he says, the U.S. and its coalition partners must develop a unified plan or risk further setbacks. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/02/16/general-garner-isis-has-momentum-to-keep-expanding-in-iraq-and-syria/
Space Commander Travis Posted February 17, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Everyone does just what these nutcases want, don't they, all this about "establish an emirate then expand that to caliphate" really is just pandering to their nutty delusions, and as for wanting to destroy Israel, I may not agree with everything the Israeli govt. goes but one thing they are not is daft, and if they really thought this gang was any real threat I think they'd show a bit more concern than they have so far. It's obvious why rent-a-pundits on Fox News, some tame General they wheel in as their pet "Military Expert", are so eager to hype them up into the Greatest Enemy We Have Ever Faced, since Fox news, and US Army Generals, are always anxious to promote a war, since we know how good they are for ratings (and promotion for Generals). Still, at least it distracts them from stirring up trouble in Ukraine, I suppose. (Fox News and US Army Generals, i mean.)

Lilly Posted February 17, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted February 17, 2015 It now appears that ISIS may have upwards of 35 more Egyptian Christians held captive. They will probably be mass executed (beheaded or burned alive) in the near future.
Occult1 Posted February 18, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) ISIS openly states they are setting their sites on Rome. Well, I am quite sure that ISIL would like to destroy America and just about every Western countries as well. Does that mean they have the capabilities do so? Absolutely not. ISIL like to share their nonsense propaganda which the media are very good at spreading for them. If they understood on thing is that Western media can be used to increase their status by feeding them with extravagant declarations. No wonder Boko Haram has been shoved aside in media coverage even though they are as bad if not worst when it comes to bloody attacks. Careful_perspective Posted February 18, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I usually get crap for saying this, but ISIS terrifies me so much. Just, that sort of hatred, the fact it exists, and it seems to grow by the day, it makes me sick to my stomach, knowing it it is out there. All I can do is pray for the souls of all these people who have been affected, and for their families. I hope wherever they are now, they are at peace, and in the light.
ellapenella Posted February 18, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2015 I think what their main objective is that we're seeing in these brutal slayings - they're trying to get us over there to fight. They want a crusade . They want it bad.

No, they are concerned alright: The governments of France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States are calling for 'a political resolution to the conflict in Libya', and believe that a 'United Nations-led process to establish a national unity government provides the best hope for Libyans'. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2015/02/237550.htm Good luck talking 'political resolution' to ISIS, or sorting out the conflicting contradictory factions that late in the game, and wading through the nascent war between Al Qaeda & ISIS in Libya! Who knows, maybe miracles still happen. Tonight Egyptian warplanes attacked a convoy of 500 ISIS armed vehicles heading south.
SHaYap Posted February 18, 2015 #19 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Know thine Enemy ... Milestones by Syed Qutb Shaheed was an Egyptian Islamist, author, educator and poet. The books is presented here today because of Syed Qutb Shaheeds continuing influence on a number of currently active radical Islamist groups. Syed Qutb Shaheed was also the leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1966 he was convicted of plotting the assassination of Egyptian president Abdel Nasser and he was executed by hanging. His masterpiece is the 30 volume commentaries on the Qu’ran: In the Shade of the Qu’ran, which is mandatory bedtime reading for members of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Islamic Jihad and similar groups. Milestones is one of his works on social justice and the role of Islam in politics. I post this book here, not to promote these views, but in order to help people to understand the ideology subscribed to by radical Islamist groups. The coptic church is entirely unaffiliated with catholisicm. But I guess it just shows how little these people really know about religion. It doesn't matter to ISIS whether victims are Catholic, Lutheran, or Copt. All are "crucifix worshipers" to them. They project the Islamic concept of 'umma' to Christianity, so all churches, denominations are one and the same for them. This is why they slaughtered their Coptic victims by the sea to avenge the USA's disposal of Bin Laden's corpse in the sea as per their video. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/02/16/opinion/bergen-isis-enemies/index.html
Space Commander Travis Posted February 18, 2015 #21 Share Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Uh...ISIS now has a presence in northern Libya, a great deal closer to Rome than to America. Ah, that's why the EU now has a policy of not helping refugees from Libya. They know that they might be an ISIS invasion force in disguise. Good policy. Let 'em all drown, EU! God will sort out the guilty! ISIS' incredible show of force on Europe's doorstep: Terrorists in Libya who beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians parade their fleet of brand new 'police cars' in front of cheering children http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz3S2VciSNw And here they are in fact, in their terrifying fleet of shiny new Toyota pickups, no doubt provided for them by a generous Saudi benefactor. That is one of the best examples yet of the Media doing ISIS' propaganda for them. That now constitutes an incredibly terrifying, or terrifyingly incredible, show of force, does it? Lilly Posted February 18, 2015 Author #22 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Doesn't really matter what ISIS is driving if they have the where with all to kidnap and behead 21 people. ISIS is indeed dangerous and should be taken seriously. It doesn't take a huge number of people to do some pretty awful stuff.

Rafterman Posted February 18, 2015 #25 Share Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Could you clarify, please? Hate to post Daily Mail links, but that was the first one I found and I'm in a hurry. http://www.dailymail...acy-effort.html The Obama administration is drawing fire for suggesting that defeating ISIS requires more of a jobs program for terrorists than a sophisticated approach to killing them. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said Monday night on MSNBC that 'we cannot win this war by killing them, we cannot kill our way out of this war.' Instead, she said, the administration should 'go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups' – including 'lack of opportunity for jobs.' 'We can work with countries around the world to help improve their governance,' Harf insisted. 'We can help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people.' The embarrassing gaffe aired as the White House attracted new criticism for papering over religious aspects of a mass-beheading of Coptic Christians by the ISIS terror army. And when Chris Matthews won't even carry for the Administration, you know it's bad. http://www.westernjournalism.com/watch-msnbcs-matthews-just-destroyed-state-dept-flak-says-terrorists-simply-need-jobs/#3qfe3IrR6HhmXsIP.97 Edited February 18, 2015 by Rafterman
