Automatonophobia is the technical term for fear of robots. Fear of sharks is selachophobia. Psychiatrists will have to come up with a new term now that the U.S. Navy has deployed, yes, robot sharks.

The Navy's GhostSwimmer unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) -- a five-foot-long, 100-pound robotic shark -- has completed testing and will now join the fleet, according to naval researchers.

Great, now the enemy will be blasting all the sharks out of the water, just in case.

The US Navy has experimented with some unusual technologies over the years

I think the antenna is kind of a give away, but if it stops them from using live animals that would good.

I'm actually agreeing with you for once. I didn't take you as the tree-hugging type as myself. Well said.

Haha, I live on a boat, do not do big brother, and absolutely love nature and all it has to offer...apart from not wearing sandals all year round I am certainly a tree hugger. :tu:

I have actually hugged trees myself! Once, I couldn't find my tree stand and the first light of day was about to dawn...and I didn't want to miss my shot at that beautiful 8 point buck I knew would pass early after day light...so I just slung my 30 30 over my back, stuck my pistol in my belt behind my back and hugged that tree till I was about 12 feet up. About the time I got settled...there he was...yeah...I love tree hugging too babe! (tee hee)

Actually I have only hunted deer once in my life and almost got killed by my friend in the process. And I always wear sandals and love the beach because...well...I'm a Cancer too! :tsu:
