I have many coincidences a day

I come across way too many coincidences that bother me a little in my day.

The number one most occurring coincidence is reading or typing a word that I hear someone in the room saying at the exact time I am reading/typing the word. Does that make sense? I could be typing about flowers and someone could say the sky looks blue today just as my fingers push the keys that spell blue. Stuff like that. It even happens when I'm reading things, not writing them. Which is odd, because how would I know that article I am looking at will have a word that someone or the TV/radio says just as I read it?

The next is with music. I can accurately guess what song is coming up next on a playlist of over 100 songs. And the playlist is always on shuffle. Also sometimes when I think about a song someone I am around might start singing what I was thinking. Even to the point of picking up where I left off in my head.

I also get songs stuck in other people's heads very often, but I don't know what that signifies. Sometimes I sing things that aren't even catchy, or songs people don't even know, but there they are repeating what I sang minutes after I sang it.

Also not just with music, but I find people talking about what I was just thinking about all the time. I was thinking of asking my boss if she heard about something that happens in the news, and then she asks ME if I heard about it. A friend of mine and I were quoting a movie and he said the quote I was thinking of saying after he was done. Stuff like that.

So I'm looking for an explanation. Can anyone help explain what is going on in my life?

Small personal mystical experiences are common.

When the earth moves, as one of these, then you have good reason to wonder.

I read an article years back about coincidences such as the words matching that you mentioned. The article suggested that most people are simply not aware of the coincidences around them. I recall the article mentioned situations such as reading an article about bread in the lobby of a dental practice when there is a call for Baker to come in. It went through lots of things such as that and concluded that there are far more coincidences that most people report. Maybe you are more aware of your surroundings and notice more than other people. I normally tune out the noise around, but if I don't I can find myself typing the other person's words if we happen to use a word in common. I switch from tune out to listening and make a mistake. Another situation to consider is that people remember hits and forget failures. You are more likely to remember a positive than the negatives since the positives seem to be what you are interested in. My CD player on shuffle has a fixed routine. It is not random. It tries to play every song once and then repeats it. The shuffle is a one time shuffle followed by the same ordering.

There can be many simple reasons for noticing coincidences. These are only 3 ideas to consider.

These all sound like examples of telepathy to me.

The hundred-song playlist trick sounds impressive. Create a video and post it. Better yet, have someone make a list for you, and then accurately predict each song on a livestream. Then collect millions of dollars from your government for being the only human in all of history to be able to accurately demonstrate and prove psychic abilities.

Go ahead, do it. I'll wait.

Podo, I suggested in my post that the shuffle is a one time effort to randomize the songs. After that the same order repeats itself.

If this is a case in which someone can correctly predict the next song, then you are quite right that there is cash to be made at this.

Oh, I'm aware. I was mainly suggesting this because I wanted to diplomatically call OP out on the absolute load of steaming BS that was the original comment. You are quite right, however.

Um I have something like this happen to me on a much darker and wider scale. This isn't BS. In fact I am angry about it and am and scared of it so much that I have been desperate and looking to find a way to get rid of it.

I thought I heard somewhere that the random shuffle isnt random ... it is what people like to think is random. The real random shuffle made people complain that at times it wasnt random because; "I just heard that song ! "

I’ve experienced similar with coincidences.

I tend to think about things like names of folk (mostly celebrities) from the past whose faces I can still picture in my minds-eye but I don’t remember their names, then just as I’ve given up hope of ever recalling the name the answer comes to me out of the blue via another way.

Another coincidental thing that I tend to do is make a daft joke about something and then I’m forced to think twice about what I said when what seemed like a harmless joke turns into awry…Well hard to explain but take the following as an example:-

I’m a reclusive person so I don’t go out often however a few days ago I had a dental appointment and the only available time that was given to me for that was at 2:30 pm…Anyways! My tooth hurty was extracted and on the way home my husband (who was driving) slowed our car as we approached a crossroads then suddenly two horses (with riders) appeared out of what seemed like no-where and they were galloping directly towards the car…I had one of those hands over eyes moments as it looked as though we were sitting ducks with no-where to flee and then at the last moment the horses parted and ran past both sides of the car…I said to the husband, had there been four of those beasties I’d have thought it was the apocalypse so I guess that death decided to give us a miss…When I got home I had a phone-call about the death of someone I knew.

So yup! Those twists of fate can be mind boggling.

This happens to me too. Usually only when I'm really excited about something or when it would somehow strike some nerve of mine -just right- to affect some change or something similar.

We're all secretly wizards. Or maybe there's some omniscient guy behind the screen pushing all of our buttons. Who knows.

Everything in the universe is connected to everything else.

For me, there is no coincidence, but synchronicity.

LOL!...At pushing the buttons.

I was having some dental work done again yesterday (29th) and during the drilling and filling part of my ordeal I heard a song being played…It was George Michael’s “Wake me up before you go-go” and I was instantly reminded of the Eli Stone TV series which I had recently watched a fortnight ago.

During my moment of my nostalgia (Imagining Eli Stone having his acupuncture treatment) the dentist’s chair suddenly began to rise when a button had been accidently knocked by an assistant and my face was on a collision course with an overheard light however the chair was stopped just in time before I swallowed a light bulb.

Talk about visions of going towards the light!
