Octavia435 Posted January 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2016 For a long time now, I have remembered dreams in which I see vivid faces of people (they are usually part of the dream story), and yet, I don't know who they are at all. Sometimes, their faces are so sharply defined that it bugs me after I wake up. Like one time, I had a dream of being insulted by a man that I didn't know. It was creepy. Any ideas as to what (or who) this might be?
Davros of Skaro Posted January 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2016 1) Just because your conscious mind does not remember the thousands of faces you encounter over your lifetime, it does not mean your subconscious with added creativity doesn't. 2) The spiritual realm which we perceive in our dream state has no boundaries of time and space to limit our experiences. Take your pick of what makes sense to you. Welcome to UM.
barbco196 Posted January 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2016 I'm almost certain everyone that dreams has the same story. Places, people, and self can be full of unknowns during sleep. Life's mystery.
blurry Posted January 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2016 I can relate to this: For every person in my dreams that I recognize from waking life there are at least two other actors (if not more) that I've never recognized prior to the dream. It could be a passerby, an acquaintance, or someone who - in the dream - I know for a long time; it just never feels like I've seen them before while awake. What's different though is that nearly all of the time I only realize this in retrospect: Rarely do I get a dream about a 'stranger'.
