What will the age we live in be remembered for? Will we be at all?

We look back on the pyramids, stone henge, etc but what have we built that will last? Will we just be remembered for our destruction?

Just a random thought I had and decided to see what others think!

Good question Spectre .... And as has already been mentioned , we did travel far and we did blow things up , but I think we'll be remembered as the generation of people who raped the planet .

Why do you think there will be anybody left to remember? But if there are, maybe we will be remembered for poisoning the atmosphere and the oceans? Eliminating the middle class? Genocide and war on an unprecedented level? But with a little luck, maybe it will be as the generation that discovered clean energy, co-operation as opposed to competition, social equality and tolerance. I supposed it is up to us. We all recognize the problems, and the choices we make now will determine the answer to the question.

Here are a couple of links to inventors and inventions from 1901 - 2000

1901-1950

1951-2000

Ultimately though, what we will be remembered for will be what they put in the history books

Advanced forms of technology... Who'd have thought, that one day, we could sit on a laptop or PC.. and chat to people all over the world ... Video messaging... Skype...Mobile phones.. now with internet access.. heck I wouldn't be surprised if they brought out a mobile that can make the dinner lol

I mean before the internet and other advance technology... I for one wouldn't know how other cultures lived.. I now can talk to people from the states to Australia ... and learn more... Before the internet and different messaging functions and APPs.... I didn't care to learn as much

We shall be remembered for creating the most efficient and widespread communication technology in the history of our species(the internet) filling it with 12% of pornography, then realizing that 12% isn't enough. :w00t:
