Eh... she also padded her book sales by buying thousands and thousands of her book with PAC money. Sure they were a *ehem* gift to people who sends her money... but nothing like boosting your sales by you spending other peoples money on it..

blink.gifWow really,....that explains a lot, I was wondering how the hell she made it on the Best Seller list when most Americans hold such a low opinion of her, and it was proven that the book was written by a ghost writer . It all makes sense nowyes.gif

It's a bit late, you already have a Socialist in the White House.

Not really, Obama is just showing his socialist mentality now and the American people will not just allow this country to let go of what made it. And it is not a socialsim.

To be honest alot of people will do that. write (or have a ghost writer write) a book, then use PAC or donated money to buy a large amount of their books. Then "gift" the books to those contributers. So instead of paying 4 bucks for the thing, someone payed 100+. Yeah.. nice gift indeed. (sarcasm)

Large amount? She bought less than 5,000 copies for her less than 5,000 PAC donors. 5,000 isn't exactly an effort to make her book a best-seller.

This blog post explains it all.

Who knows? Lack of time? Lack of knowing how to write a book? Writing a book really isn't as easy as people would think. What ever reason, having a ghost writer will bring in alot of questions about the person. while a co-author comes off a lot better. She prolly should have just gone the co-author rout. Might have lesses the ridicule. Might have..

Regardless... on the topic side, I'm not surprised she has wild mood swings. *shrugs* Just comes off as part of her personality.

It is not easy to write a book, or a good book.Ghost writers are professional writers with experience. My wife helps some of her clients write books, and it is a very dedicated, time consuming task; ultimately if you are not a talented writer the book quality will be poor. Having a ghost writer allows you to borrow those writing skills. Through interviews and discussions, content is gathered and goals are set, but the writer goes off to put everything into a style and language that everyone can understand and enjoy. The material they create is the persons content and information, just put together far better than an inexperienced person could ever do.

I have watched the process several times, and people that set off to writer their own book have tons of problems figuring out what to write, how to write it, how to keep it concise, how to avoid being boring...not to mention keep on a schedule if they are already working. Ghost writers have the experience to be able to take stories that they are given, and make them much more exciting and interesting. it would be different if palin had a background in writing, but she doesn't so it would be crazy to assume she has the skills to put together a book; it is a huge undertaking...

OK, I was always curious about that, so you and Silver summed it up well. Palin does have a degree in journalism, but for some reason I suspect if she had wrote it, it would read like a a Dr Seuss book so she did the smart thingwink2.gif

Some book experts have actually said that Obama's books were strangely very similar to Bill Ayers'. wink2.gif

Nice Try, Obama authored both of his booksthumbsup.gif

"I picture the street coming alive, awakening from the fury of winter, stirred from the chilly spring night by cold glimmers of sunlight angling through the city." - Bill Ayers, Fugitive Days

"Night now fell in midafternoon, especially when the snowstorms rolled in, boundless prairie storms that set the sky close to the ground, the city lights reflected against the clouds." -, Barack Obama, Dreams From My Father

I dunno, Kim. Sounds suspicious to me.

Those are two different sentences...wow, that is a stretch.

What next, accusations based on the fact that they both used the words "and", "or" and "but"?

Both books were written with words, in english, on paper, which was bound in a book form...it must be from the same source!

I can't stand the guy, but really...that is just over reaching...
