HAJiME Posted June 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2004 Hey there, i'm new. Foudn the site last night and it's great! The forums look cool too. I suspect i'm one f the youngest members here, but hey... How do i tell the difference between 'spirit orbs' and boring old dust and water particles...? I've wondered this since the first time i caught the strange orbs on digital film at a party. Sicne then, i can garantee that if i take a photo in my living room you will find at least one orb. My first reaction was simply "OH MY GOD" but after i reserched i found that it's mroe likly the particles are just caused by dust. Expeshally seen as i have two VERY messy parakeets who's dust and feathers get everywhere. That, along with the dim lighting in my living room could could be an explination. Funny thing is, i can catch them on film in day light... Anyway. Please tell me what you think... And i wouldn't mind some welcomes to the board either! HAJiME Posted June 4, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted June 4, 2004 Unusual things have happened and i have taken the images and seen the orbs in the photos (flickering lights, creaking floorboards...) but being a sceptic i blame the sounds on our noisy boiler and shity electrics. I think folks that point to orbs in photos as something paranormal is just a case of wishful thinking, I don't see how anyone could think that it is anything other than dust... Ever get a piece of dust on your eye and no matter where you look all you see is this clear round shape obstructing your view? Its like your looking at an orb in real time. Dust particle. Please dial "0" if you need anything: room service, clean towels, some toothpaste... Nevermind, I'm getting carried away. As for your orbs, I think they're nothing more than dust particles. They don't even have to be on your lens for them to show up in a photo. They most likely just float by at the right moment. My advice is skip the orbs, but keep looking into the paranormal. Those are only sections of the photos. And it was at a party, pictures of just 'the party' in general where taken. If you get what i mean.... When i first found them and looked them up, i remember reading that there was a difference between dust/vapour orbs and 'ghost orbs.' I don't think 'ghost orbs' (if they are in fact anything different...) are in fact spirits but i can beleive that maybe they are somthing odd, and not just dust. I have yet to see anything stranger than a UFO that i don't really remember (i was 6) and these orbs... I'm more into cryptozoology than this sorta stuff.
