kal123 Posted January 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2008 I'm sure most of you have heard of this crater on our moon that "powers up" once in awhile. Pretty interesting stuff. the_UNKNOWN_DEAD Posted January 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Someone uses paintshop to colour a crater blue and suddenly, it becomes a fusion reactor?? Sorry, but I require more/better evidence than that.

What do you think? http://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancients/41...O_Lunar_02.html This is known as Transient lunar phenomenon of which there are several possible theories - and you'll notice that "fusion reactor" isn't one of them for glaringly obvious reasons. War Eagle Posted January 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2008 That's why I posted the article with the detailed hypothesis, proof and back-up support. Don't buy into it too much, sounds like pure imagination at best amatuer speculation, not an hypothesis. Especially with titles like ''Mike's Astroimagery'', TOP SECRET up top in BIG red words. <--ohhhh wow!
Emma_Acid Posted January 29, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2008 That's why I posted the article with the detailed hypothesis, proof and back-up support. Its neither. For example, it claims that Aristarchus Crater has long been a much debated enigma on the Moon. Yet whenever you see pictures and try to get close in for details, the area is a total white out, with no detail. Really? Whats this then? We can see quite clearly that there is no "glowing structure" as mentioned in the article. No glow, no "fusion reactor", nothing.

Space Commander Travis Posted January 29, 2008 #14 Share Posted January 29, 2008 That's quite an entertaining site, actually, that thelivingmoon.com . There's more of that John Lenard character's fuzzy and vastly over-enlarged shots of "secret spacecraft", and all sorts of exciting things about secret lunar bases and fusion powered space stations and things. I do like how they don't allow anything tedious like a complete absence of any evidence whatsoever to back up their claims to stand in the way of their imagination. "John Lear believes this to be a Fusion Reactor." And we can all, as we know, trust John.

Agent. Mulder Posted January 29, 2008 #16 Share Posted January 29, 2008 but that's just my opinion. Good for a laugh tho' yes you are id go with some of what emmas sayign there, just because ive heard people talking about it and trying to study it before. with the TLP. still Very interesting though, and might be explaining what people are seeing. SunDogDayze Posted January 29, 2008 #17 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Can you prove that the crater is not a highly advanced fusion reactor? God I get so tired of that u-turn answer. Whoever makes the claim has to prove it. Having no proof is the same thing as being debunked. Until there is proof of something's existence, it is debunked, so our job is already done. Until there is proof of something's existence, it is debunked, so our job is already done. well they made the claim, and provided some 'proof' as well. with their website they posted, trying to explain some of it. now, since none of them can head over to the moon right now, i dont see thier Big Evidence or Proof coming along. but then agian, yeah, unfortunately they cant prove its not. not Right Now anyways. but theyre pretty sure its tlp. Space Commander Travis Posted January 29, 2008 #19 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Can you prove that the crater is not a highly advanced fusion reactor? Let me hop aboard my private moon rocket and I'll go and have a look. ... classic "prove that it's not" argument, the same argument that said that Saddam had to prove that he didn't have any nuclear weapons. dest_titor1 Posted January 29, 2008 #20 Share Posted January 29, 2008 a hydrogen fusion reactor at any rate would note put off enough light to be seen from orbit, if any light could be seen it would be either an intense blue or red.

Emma_Acid Posted January 30, 2008 #25 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Can you prove that the crater is not a highly advanced fusion reactor? Listen to yourself. That is a meaningless argument. I think the world was created by a blind robot called Clive, 3000 years ago while he was bored on holiday. Prove that it wasn't. See??? You made the claim. You prove what you're saying is true. Don't ask us too, because thats a cop out - how are we supposed to do that? Take you to the moon and show you the crater????
