names?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm a writer (or would like to be) and I was just wondering if anyone could think of good names?

They can be for both male or female. I'm interested in odd, uncommon, or even made up names.

I need last names too...

THANK YOU!

Appropriate names will depend on the genre of fiction you are writing and the cultural back drop of the storyline.

Even sci-fi fantasy fiction has a cultural theme as a back drop ... you need to be more specific.

wilberforce agincourt marie

horatio stonefield ephraim

and bob johnson.

ok, more seriously, i'm bad with names, but since you mentioned steam punk, looking up common victorian era names might be helpful? some people like to try to match names with personality, but i'm not too fond of that. that's not how names work in the real world.

I still don't think you can beat Wolf Blitzer though. Sometimes reality does trump fiction.

Charles Krauthammer, that's another good one. Could have been Patton's nickname.
