Lets get real.  If you came across something like that - lying there, still alive and suffering no less.  You would hand it in to the nearest hospital/vet/authority and stake a claim on making the find.

No evidence of such a thing occurring, no front page headlines yadi yada - and yah, it looked pretty lame to boot.

"I warn you, whoever you are, oh you who wish to probe the arcanes of nature, if you do not find within yourself that which you seek, neither shall you find it outside.
If you ignore the excellencies of your own house, how do you intend to find other excellencies?
In you is hidden the treasure of treasures, Oh man, know thyself and you shall know the Universe and the Gods."

Please don't judge all Australians on this.

We're not all that stereotypically different.

Please may I excuse myself as I throw another shrimp on a barbie and ride my kangaroo home from work.

Edit: It is incredible that 'steveand' has this as his first post...

Let's say for the sake of argument that something like this could really have happened, in Australia or somewhere else.

If it did happen, I certainly wouldn't tell the police or military about it because they'd cover it up at once.  So would almost all of the scientists, given how tied in they are to various government interests.  Judging by the comments on here of most of the people who claim to be scientists, I have no doubt about that.  They'd cover it all up and deny it.

I guess the most you could do was get some pictures and post the story on the Internet, although there would probably be no way to prevent it from being covered up.

That's if you have enough distrust in everyone.

I would capture enough evidence to be able to prove it indefinitely then go straight to the authorities.

Why would ET be washing up on a beach?

My opinion: Somebody has way too much time on their hands.

Oh yes, I definitely have enough distrust in everyone.  No doubt about that.
