Looking for some pop dance music to fill out a CD. No remixes. No trance or techno or anything like that. Something along the lines of Rhianna.

What are your favourites?
Illegal immigration isn't a new concept in the US. Just ask the Native Americans.

This is one of the coolest dance songs I've heard in a while.

If you feel the need to 'express yourself through the medium of dance', then why not a ladylike Pavane or a Lavolta?

It's got to be dance music but not techno or trance...
I hate to break it to you but Rihanna and her ilk are out of bounds.
It's just that these modern pop stars collorabate with super star producers like Calvin Harris or David Guetta.
Their sound is very trancey so what else is in the bag.
Well there's Drum n Bass if you like it raw and street.
Then there's Big Beat which has a jazzy, funky feel.
But you need to check out this specific tune but I'm buggered if I know the title or group.
Something on the lines of "Baby, shook up".
The video features three Spanish looking girls in a car but I swear blind it's not techno.
If you want my honest opinion it's Eurodance for lack of a better description.

Out of bounds, how, exactly?

Because it's too trancey.

I thought that was part of your requirements.

I don't know of anyone who would consider Rihanna to be trance. If anything she's heavily influenced by reggae.

But even though she's not trancey she has one or two in her back catalogue.
The Only Girl In The World and I Found Love have been  produced to an inch of their life.
However I see what your getting at with the reggae thing what with Pom De Replay.
Tbh no two Rihanna songs sound the same which goes to show how versatile she is.
Shut Up And Drive is extremely rocky.
Take A Bow is just your typical smoochy ballad.
Run This Town and The Way You Lie are just old school hip- hop.
So in the grand scheme of things she's no more trancey than Katy Perry.
For the record I actually like trance because it's so uplifting.
