Hi,

Moving my PC to another room for the winter (as it heats up a small room after a short while so I don't need heating on), but dont want to drill holes in ceilings for cables. I'm after a new Wireless dongle but my last two only lasted about 9 months on the 1st one and about 14 months on the 2nd one. Any of you able to recommend a heavily used wireless dongle/adapter that has lasted you more then a couple of years?

Zyxel G202, I had it since '05 and it still works.

Monoprice sells cat 5 cable in 20 feet 25, 50, feet. I got 50 feet cat 5 for my ps3 fot 15 bucks. Wired is better then wire less.

Get an internal wireless adapter. They've been hardier in my experience. If you have a pci slot free of course

Ok, wired is without doubt better then wireless but it will involve drilling through a ceiling/floor and wall so probably won't do it.

I will look into the Zyxel G202, 9 years is pretty amazing for any modern tech to last.

I do not have a spare PCI slot. BUT my next mother board will have to have built in wireless as standard I think.
