Still Waters Posted May 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2012 A father-of-two is lucky to be alive after he was shot through the neck with an arrow as he went for a walk in a park in Russia.Konstantine Myakush, 38, was on a family outing with his two daughters near a sports centre in Moscow when he was struck by the stray 20-inch-long arrow. The arrow, believed to have been misfired by a member of an archery club, would have killed Mr Myakush if it had hit him just one inch to either the right or left by piercing a major artery. http://www.dailymail...millimetre.html

Ashotep Posted May 11, 2012 #11 Share Posted May 11, 2012 That really had to hurt. I barely remember when I was real young a kid getting a pitch fork stuck in his chest.
Sakari Posted May 11, 2012 #12 Share Posted May 11, 2012 If I had a nickel for every time Ted Nugent shot someone with snap arrow, i'd have......., Ted Nugent never shot anyone...( that I know of ).....That guy is the God of Arcery. Ok, let me clear my throat...... I bow hunted for 20 plus years, practiced a lot with field points ( like that arrows tip )......... I am really having a hard time understanding a " miss fire " from a bow, or even a very bad shot.....This makes no sense....The arrow is either in the knock and on the shelf, or it isn't.....Can not let go if it is not, no one would do that... Someone had to have been being a ass, a dumb one at that, and shooting into the air......

Abramelin Posted August 5, 2012 #14 Share Posted August 5, 2012 In soviet Russia the arrows shoot you in the neck if you take a walk. Even better: they shoot you in the head during a Talent Show: They say the guy survived, but I think it's all fake.
+and-then Posted August 5, 2012 #15 Share Posted August 5, 2012 In soviet Russia the arrows shoot you in the neck if you take a walk. I don't know about arrows but I damned sure got shot through with lots of cold, baleful glares. I was in a relatively small but very old "village" called Yaroslavl and the people were NOT the friendliest. There's a thousand year old monastery museum there that's awesome though

Gunn Posted August 6, 2012 #18 Share Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Well...at least it didn't go through one of his eyes or chest area. Anyway, could've been worse. Edit: Wow, missed the part about it coming close to a major artey...damn lucky! Edited August 6, 2012 by Purifier
