So what are your "real" thoughts and feelings?  Are you supporting a two party candidate and why? Are you completely satisfied with their positions and the party's platform? Or...are you voting for one of the two guaranteed winners by voting for "the lesser of two evils"?

My position is this.

I have been very disappointed with both parties for a very long time. I was a Republican for years. I voted for Reagan's second term...my very first election. I voted for daddy Bush. I voted against Clinton both times and yes, I voted for dubyah...both times. It was then though that I started doing some soul searching. The Repubs were no longer really representing me anymore. I agreed with their fiscal positions, but that was about it. Their leap into the dreamland of the "moral majority" was a place I could not follow.

In 2008, I found the Libertarians. I voted for Bab Barr and do not regret it.

I am asking everyone to please, take a look at these and search your heart and soul. I honestly feel this is where our support needs to go. I actually "believe" in the platform and the philosophy of the Libertarian party. I believe it will one day overtake the Republicans...prob not real soon, but I think it eventually will.



My signature line carries the Libertarian Party Platform address.

Even if you choose another path, I am asking everyone to invest just a little bit of time into researching the "other parties" before you cast that vote tomorrow. We have to break the two party paradigm or it is going to completely divide and destroy our country...and I believe it is happening right now.   That may sound over the top, but I assure you, it is only going to get worse.  I believe the fiscal conservative positions of the Libertarians and their socially liberal philosophies is what is needed to work "across the aisle" and get things accomplished...I think they are the perfect choice to lead a 'divided" Congress.

Third parties need to get at least 5% of the popular vote to get federal campaign funding and recognition in the next election.   Consider adding your support and your voice to the call for change.

It has to start somewhere and it needs to start now.

We Can do this.

Please consider it...I think our country and our citizens need this more than anything.

I think the top contender of the third parties should be allowed in on the presidential debates no matter how few votes they might receive.  I think that would be a way to force the republican and democrat candidate to talk about things I think they agree to mutually avoid.

I did alert everyone to their debate, I think they need to be heard.

There was a time there were other parties in our system that became president.  John Adams was a federalist.

I voted libertarian, I'm expecting Obama to be re-elected.

Americans are still more free than most people on this planet, but far from being free enough to change a system that works against most of them. We are ultimately conquered people, whether we realize it or not.

My understanding of the Libertarian party is that they are pro-business and anti-government waste (Republican) but less  restrictions and more freedom for personal behavior (Democrat).

I'm voting tomorrow, then I will turn off all TV and radio and hope we have a president picked out by morning.  I don't want a repeat of what happened in the year 2000.

My gut says Obama will be re-elected, and by Nov. 7th, no one will be talking about the presidential race except as an annotation, but the media will EXPLODE with the news that Washington State legalized state growing and sales of pot. LOL. Pretty sure that's going to pass... it's going to be crazy huge news. The last polls I saw had pot legalization passing 60%/40% roughly.

I would vote 3rd party... maybe Pacific Green party, or Constitution party, or Working Familys party, or even the Libertarian party. But I've seen to many of the Locals who are promoting such parties being idiots and total incompetents. Almost every single Libertarian that I've meet has been specifally and vocally pro-drugs and the first thing that comes out of their mouth is how the Libertarians are going to make drugs legal. I know that is not what the Libertarians are about, but that is who is representing them here on the ground.

Personally, I hope Romney wins. Obama has had his chance and he squandered it. His "Hope and Change" did not have enough kung fu behind it.

I think whoever is elected it'll be the closest election yet and there'll be a good chance of the loser crying foul to the Supreme Court, and worse whichever party doesn't get into power will be so obstructionist that they'll make the 2008-2012 Republicans look companionable.

That's a definite possibility - I will say this to our American friends, even though it's been said before - you need to cast your vote, it's your country, be heard.

It is the flip side in Oregon interestingly. Some 50% are against the Oregon Pot initiative and almost 40% polled in favor of it. I'd vote against it myself, and already did. It is just that like the 8 to 10 people that I've known that were "open" pot users were/are totally messed up and did not get their lives together till they got off the pot. I don't think pot really hurts anything (other then children, who studies say may loose IQ points), but I think if used to cover a problem, just like alcohol, it locks the person into that situation and they can't seem to get out, till they get off the pot.

One thing that I did vote for here in Oregon is the Non-Indian Casinos. Soon we'll have dozens more casinos here in Oregon. It is going to be like Nevada with legal Pot here. All we'll need then is legal prostitution....

Worst case would be if the Congess has to get involved. Then there's just going to be Chaos, simple and pure.

I am not changing the prediction I have been preaching for months now, so, this one isn't going to be close. Romney +5% in the popular and 320 electoral votes.  Republicans take the senate and get a few more seats in the house.   The democrats will cheat at unprecedented levels and it won't change a damn thing.  Obama will lose a few hundred thousand votes in NY and NJ, will claim more were lost but it won't matter because he'll still win both states but he'll still sue so lot's of court costs for no reason.

Economy will improve drastically as soon as it is official that Romney and the republicans own the shop so months from now, when the economy is churning and growing, the democrats here will say it is the Obama recovery and Romney stole it.  I guarantee you will hear this even though all economic indicators, at this time, are another recession or worse if Obama gets a second term.

I have said it from the beginning and I will end by saying the same thing:   This election is going to be such a blowout.  What we are all going to witness is Red State after Red State after Red State, etc.

There are 538 Electoral Votes.  A candidate must have 270 to win.

My prediction:   Romney 363   Obama   175

Romney  takes:

Mass, Ohio, Nev, Ariz, NM, Iowa, Wis, Va Fla, NC NH,  MINN, Colo, Penn, and Michigan

I base this on nothing more than my gut feeling.

Are they going to release the people in jail for pot related offences? that would be a nice windfall for the budget.

I will vote for Romney not because I totally agree with him but I think he has the knowledge of finances to keep our Titanic above the waves for alittle longer then Obama.
